Maxx Crosby--Greatest MAC fb player ever
I mean who else could it be? Crosby is a beast and dominates every game he plays in.

Jack Lambert was pretty good.

So was Big Ben Roethlisberger.

And John Offerdahl.

Yeah, I'm not sure Crosby was the best MAC player in that game, much less ever

If your going on most successful career it’s Jack lambert or Ben Roethlisberger

This was great to see. Wasn't even sure if Mack was still in the NFL.

You are correct but personally I don't consider anybody from Marshall since they got kicked out of the league once and left another time (after cheating again).

Also depends on whether you talking about what they did while playing in MAC or after (NFL).

If you're going just by MAC Toledo QB Chuck Ealey (1969-71, 35 consecutive wins without a loss) is the only choice.

Babin nearly set the NFL single-season sack record, so throwing that out there.

Bob Rowe was MAC Lineman of the Year back-to-back (1965-66) leading WMU to its first championship.

He played nine years for Cardinals (DT-DE), didn't get a lot of accolades or awards because team was mediocre at best.

And Sacks didn't become an official NFL stat until 1982.

However he did set NFL record by blocking three FGs in one game!

I second Babin as being a one man wrecking crew.

Playboy All American at the time.

And, if memory serves me, Corey Davis was a decent college player.

RE: Maxx Crosby--Greatest MAC fb player ever
I am old and actually saw Bob Rowe play in person.

The dude was a beast. He could handle one side of the D line all by himself. Not only that, it wasn’t even a problem. He would just sort of toss any double team assigned to him out of the way. Most blocking backs didn’t want anything to do with him and just glanced off. Ball carriers, they would just kind of buckle at the knees and hit the dirt if some insane shot caller screwed up and sent a running play his way. The passing game wasn’t as developed in those days, the opponent’s playbook would be limited to rollouts in the opposite direction from Bob.

Seriously, Bob Rowe was on a different level, never personally seen a more dominant D linemen ever.

Meh. Crosby was great, but he wouldn’t be in my top 10 all time.

I wouldn't consider him from the MAC as he played 1 year, and the rest prior wasn't in the MAC. I would count Chad Pennington of course, but obviously Big Ben seems to be the #1 MAC player of all time.

MAC player, or NFL player who is currently playing in the NFL?

Corey Davis was an amazing MAC player. Dan LeFevour was an amazing MAC player.

Spillane bookended a championship season with game-winning plays. (And is one of only a select few to stone-cold stop Derrick Henry at the line of scrimmage.
