Got another P5 win tonight and is beating the AAC head to head. ECU and UAB (2 of our allegedly better programs) are 0-4 against the SBC.

It's happening folks.

Tulane is the only saving grace right now. Too bad their colors and uniforms are atrocious, or I’d be a fan because of Fritz.

RE: Sunbelt
I'm hoping this doesn't get moved to smack. And I'm also hoping the SBC posters coming here are cool.

Regardless, it's been a good start for the SBC. ODU has the exact same number of P5 wins, and almost doubled it today, than the entirety of the CUSA 6 in the last two years.

Ouch.

But Tulane took out a pretty good South Alabama team who put a pounding on Oklahoma State today. So it's all a mixed bag.

USF played equal with Alabama until the last minute of the game.

Curious how many other Sun Belt or AAC teams would have done that. Maybe some, but not many.

I had a pretty strong feeling UAB wasn't going to be good. They were considered a coaching graveyard before Clark got there, and then they hired a high school coach. I couldn't think of any head coach that came straight from high school to this level of football that ended up being successful. It's too big of a jump. I believe he also hired is HS defensive coordinator who also had little or college experience. Not a great recipe for success.

I've always liked their colors. Love the green and the blue helmets too.

A few rough weeks don’t mean anything. The Sunbelt is not even in the same universe as the AAC and it will never be close. I went to Southern Miss today and saw a high school stadium with less than 8k in attendance. It was beyond small time. That is the Sunbelt in a nutshell. No markets, no academics, no fans, no history of athletic success. We all need to call down and understand that two weeks of football doesn’t prove anything. The AAC is still the top dog with the top teams.

I watched Mizzou against KState today. They looked good. The pundits were wrong about them before the season began. Surprised the game with MTSU was so close.

I don't know much about TCU this year.

Facilities SMACK ? With utsa in your conference. Sure playing Football in a Dome owned by the City of San Antonio is great, but wait til y’all get a look at that so called basketball arena, and their baseball facilities, well they’ve got a long way to go just to reach high school standards.

But whatev

I picked SMU at the start of the year. I'm staying with it. They have the most talent. Tulane looks good but regardless of the score I wasn't overly impressed with them today. S. Miss looked like dog water.

Yeah...Their O was ehh though. Nothing to write home about. Watch out for Fresno State. They're up 16-0 at Arizona State. They may have a leg up on the NY6.

Make that 23-0. Just scored again to open the second half.

I don’t understand lol. Southern miss has a nicer stadium than Tulane and also averaged almost 5,000 more fans a game than you guys last season
