what does that have to do with anything? Sam Houston almost beat Air Force last week, and we'll see for sure when they play the Houston Cougs this week.
SHU's offense isn't very good, but their defense is really good. (based on playing 2 FBS teams)
BYU is a solid team with a good QB. Their Oline is new and is still trying to find themselves.
Sam Houston State's defense has really been phenomenal through two games.

you could move some teams up a notch or down a notch depending on how much value you place on certain of the opponents. For example UCF, who barely beat a Boise team that just got smoked the week before by Wash St. Also, TT is 0-2 with close losses to Wyo and Oregon, but the strength of Wyoming is still to be determined, although I considered that to be a strong loss for this weeks poll.
It's a guess across the board. I probably should have KState over OU... shrug.
But you have BYU 6th… when they only scored 14 against an FCS team?
Well, he has 2-0 Cincinnati ranked #11 behind 0-2 Texas Tech...
Take it with a grain of salt.
I said it's early, and teams could be moved around based on YOUR opinion of their competition.
I happen to think that 0-2 TT is a better team than Cincy, based on the games/teams played... not simply by looking at their records. I'm looking at how they played and who they played (all teams).
Each week will shed more light on the relative strengths of the teams, no need to go mocking others predictions with only a two game sample size.
you guys can post better than that. I said it's anybody's guess, so let me have my guess without your ridicule.
Like "The Dude" I'll give you your "opinion." That's fine.
What I posted is not "opinion" but objective fact:
UC is 2-0
Texas Tech is 0-2.
You ranked Texas Tech (0-2) above and ahead of Cincinnati (2-0).
That speaks to the quality of your "opinion." Own it, deal with it. You are absolutely entitled to believe whatever you want to believe. Believing an 0-2 team is better than a 2-0 team enlightens us as to what "qualities" and what "metrics" you are using. That's all.

you can do better than that. what you posted is OPINION. It is your opinion that a 2-0 team is better than an 0-2 team.
you posted no metrics to support your opinion other than W/L records against vastly different opponents.
I contend that Cincy would be 0-2 with Techs schedule, and you can't demonstrate otherwise.
You're welcome to your "WEEK 2" opinion. I may well have a different opinion of those two teams in a couple of weeks, but at this moment, Tech appears to be the superior team based on the competition.
it's your opinion versus my opinion... stop trying to pick a darn fight ... it's freaking week 2

You think a road loss to Wyoming is better than a road win over Pitt?
You think a home loss to Texas State is better than a road win over Pitt?
Your rankings seem to be you hanging on to your anti-cincinnati bias with everything you have.

what I think is that TTech is better than Cincy.
and it was an OT loss to Wyoming, and a narrow loss to #13 Oregon.
You barely beat Pitt, and I don't think that Pitt is very good.
If you don't have anything constructive to say, then just stop already.
It's my opinion in week freaking 2. I really don't need you trying to pick a fight with me over my opinion. Find something else to do

Here are some Metrics. Wyoming is 87th in SP+, Pitt is 41st... but sure, Cincinnati would be 0-2 against that brutal Texas Tech schedule.
There is no logic to your rankings other than your irrational Cincinnati hatred. But it is what it is. UC will keep doing it on the field.

I've asked you to stop at least twice now. I call Bleh on your metrics. IT'S WEEK 2, for gosh sakes.
IMO, Cincy would not have won @Wyoming in week 1, or perhaps just barely, and that Cincy would have been CRUSHED by #13 Oregon.
It's my opinion, leave me alone. If week 7 rolls around and the picture is more clear (body of work) then you can come back and boast that you were correct that my week 2 assessment was wrong. Bully for you. It's WEEK FREAKING 2.
If you have a ranking then post it.... nobody on the board cares what you think about my week 2 rank.

LMFAO. You specifically criticized another UC poster saying: Quote:you posted no metrics to support your opinion
so I do what you requested and give you the metrics and you say Quote:I call Bleh on your metrics.
.
Well done.

Sam Houston is in their first year as an FBS team. Do not take my comment to mean anything more or less than this. Just correcting the post saying they are an FCS team.

Nah...
I'm not "fighting" with the Cowboy. In the end, this is all settled out on the field.
I'm content to let the records speak for themselves.

It's a message board. People are going to comment on your posts, particularly when you are as condescending as you have been toward other posters...
Take a breath and relax.

I'm not condescending towards others, I respect their opinions, I welcome comment on my posts (not on "me", you don't know me) and you don't get to spend days and repeated posts fighting with me about my opinion and then pretend that you didn't.
you're still doing it.

Guys, stop interacting with Cowboy when he's like this. He says he respects opinions and doesn't condescend, but he called me a Nancy on another thread and then doubled down when I called him on it. Don't give him what he's trolling for. When he's actually respectful and has a good point, interact away. Otherwise, we need to stop feeding him so he has no reason to keep behaving that way and then acting like he's not.
