UAB is going to score points though I was hoping for better game defensively but even though we aren't good on defense we're still better than the trash we put on the field last season.

I doubt anyone else on UAB's schedule puts up 49 or more on them.

EDIT - Didn't realize UAB played UGA but no one else.

Our defense is uh....something special right now and we're really young since we lost a lot of players. Hopefully it's just growing pains with a new coach, but we looked really bad on that side of the ball. Special teams were really special too. I think Georgia Southern played pretty well though tbh. UAB is like a total opposite team of previous years.

EDIT: FWIW our offense was pretty methodical after the first quarter and the game ended up coming down to turnovers. Alex Mortensen probably has a bright future.

Congrats on the win!

Fair enough. Thank you for being honest. I think the 80 yard TD and the fumble on first and three were pivotal moments. Both provided nice momentum swings for UAB.

They seem one loss away from being demoralized almost exactly how the end of last season played out.

They'll be tested for sure. It has to be lack of leadership which doesn't clear until a new class or two can take the lead. It's a loong season.

what does that even mean??? We were never questioned in game 1 against the Citadel and we answered every time UAB did something good with something good of our own.

Less often than last year all be it but dancing with little if any to celebrate. When you expect to win there’s less of this stuff.
