Victory Bell UC v Miami Redhawks (Redskins)
UC has won 16 straight and will be a big favorite to make it 17 straight.

111 September 30, 2006 Nippert Stadium Cincinnati 24–10
112 September 15, 2007 Yager Stadium Cincinnati 47–10
113 September 20, 2008 Nippert Stadium Cincinnati 45–20
114 October 3, 2009 Yager Stadium No. 10 Cincinnati 37–13
115 October 9, 2010 Nippert Stadium Cincinnati 45–3
116 October 1, 2011 Yager Stadium Cincinnati 27–0
117 October 6, 2012 Nippert Stadium Cincinnati 52–14
118 September 21, 2013 Yager Stadium Cincinnati 14–0
119 September 20, 2014 Paul Brown Stadium Cincinnati 31–24
120 September 19, 2015 Yager Stadium Cincinnati 37–33
121 September 24, 2016 Nippert Stadium Cincinnati 27–20
122 September 16, 2017 Yager Stadium Cincinnati 21–17
123 September 8, 2018 Paul Brown Stadium Cincinnati 21–0
124 September 14, 2019 Nippert Stadium Cincinnati 35–13
125 September 4, 2021 Nippert Stadium No. 8 Cincinnati 49–14
126 September 17, 2022 Paycor Stadium Cincinnati 38–17

Is it time to end the series or play all in Cincinnati?

Keep it. With the scheduling change it seems like UC never plays @Miami anymore. It's once every 4 years with 3 games in Cincy. Do we even pay them anything to visit? At PBS we split the gate with them.

The current deal is 2 at Nippert, 1 at Paycor and 1 at Oxford. One at Oxford is 1 too many.

95% likely to get #3, so 3 of 9 in conference get us bowl eligible.

I see wins ISU, @UH, @WVU, BU

Rest are tossups.

RE: Victory Bell UC v Miami Redhawks (Redskins)
We've discussed this game on the Bearcat Banter board over the years. I'd rather not play it but just don't call it a rivalry. I get we've played 126 times beginning in 1888 but it has never felt like a rivalry game to me. True rivals don't schedule two for ones with an additional neutral site game. MyAmUh also doesn't have the fan base or passion that helps stoke the fires of a rivalry. Another option would be to play it once every set number of years [3, 4 or 5 for example] or rotate it with other Ohio schools like Ohio University, BGSU, Toledo, etc.

The name of the trophy needs to be changed to the "UC victory bell".

I agree with you. Here are our past OH MAC records"

Ohio 25-23-3 we play at OU 2026 a few years back it took an INT to preserve a win.
Akron 4-2
Toledo 5-3
BG 0-4
Kent 5-0

Most of these games were before we got good with Dantonio, Kelly, Jones, and Fuckle

I had no clue we're winless against BGSU. I checked Winsipedia and we last played them at Cincinnati in 1994 - losing 38-0 LOL. Rick Minter was the coach. I was a few years graduated then and I don't remember that one.

We're playing at Ohio, we have a home and home with WKU (unless that gets cancelled). Cryami is 3 here and 1 there.

Agreed with the bolded part. Our deal with them looks to be slightly back loaded.

Often, we (meaning UC fans) look at this series from our perspective, and just assume Miami wants to continue it. I think there is a possibility Miami may want to either play it less frequently or cancel it altogether. They could prefer to garner additional revenue by scheduling another body bag game with the B10 or an SEC school.

I'll be surprised if either of those games ever happen. Those were agreements negotiated during AAC days when non-conference dates were hard to fill. There is no economic incentive to play in either venue compared with buy games @ home. I'd still love to see a regional power conference opponent in the mix for pre-conference some years: Pitt, Louisville, IU, PU, VT or UK, especially on a home and home agreement.

Regarding WKU, IU recently plaid at WKU. No future P5 teams except for UC are scheduled at WKU. It is not a bad road trip but cancellation needs to be considered.

Regarding Ohio, ISU is playing @ Athens this week. WVU in 2025 and UC in 2026. Not a bad road trip up 32 as we did many years ago when daughter graduated from Harvard on the Hocking (OU).

Is it time to end the series or play all in Cincinnati?

2014, 2015, 2016 were Chuck Martin failures that should have been different... And yet over 127 years you hold a 1 game advantage?
.
Collars will be popped and we will be competing accordingly!

And just for perspective... I played for Miami in the mid- to later- 90's when Rick Minter was an awful coach for UC and we beat UC in my 5 years (with a tie involved) more than they beat us and love the (then) true rivalry but understand that when they joined the Big East and now the Big XII that they have the money and have the advantage for sure but love ribbing them when I can.
.
and as much as I liked the rivalry (then and still now)... I always rooted for UC after when they played and almost beat Ohio State around 2014?. Can't stand Ohio State (actually most of their fans). Ohio State is now scared to schedule UC.

The Miami–Cincinnati series ranks fifth on the list of most-played rivalries in college football and is the oldest Division I rivalry west of the Allegheny Mountains.

The first game in the series, played on December 8, 1888, in Oxford, Ohio, was the first college football game played in the state of Ohio.

We need to keep the game because of history. With all the realignment going on (and greed), it nice to keep some traditions.

I agree and understand the arrogance of the UC fan-base and the situation. Times have have changed but hope it keeps going as we are now the 2nd longest rivalry in the country!
.
So either the current situation OR 2-for-1s with UC 2 at home and 1 in Oxford (no "buyout" price)
OR
at least UC now in the BIG XII pays us the proper buyout amount to come to Clifton.

Right now we come to Clifton and/or PBS for nothing like the current P5 payout for a G5 home game which is like $1.5 million average and is why UC keeps this rivalry going because we go to UC for split gate receipts and not the $1.5 million that they would have to pay for another G5. Which I'm OK with and why UC (besides the 2nd longest national rivalry streak) likes this rivalry. Fickel said as much.
