We have our tier3 rights on ESPN+ which is a separate contract. With revenue.

ESPN may own ESPN+, but they pay separately for that content.

right?

My understanding is that ESPN has it all in one contract. yes an agreement was made on a price for tier 3, but it now is folded into the bigger deal, rather than a standalone deal.
Technically there no longer is a tier 3. Just ESPN deal and FOX deal.

I think the cost of taking OSU and Wazzou would mostly be covered by the PAC assets especially at half shares for the current extension. I guess the question is would they bring the value long term to make it worth it. Also I think they need to consider how the media partners feel about going after PAC network. ESPN may not like it, but maybe the Big 12 could just make ESPN a partner.

This is probably their only shot at a network, if having a conference network even makes sense anymore.

The PAC network is a millstone.
