As soon as UF v UU came on this went off. I am sure UCF fans watched till the end but just boring football for non UCF fans.

Yeah, that pic looks good. Apparently it thinned out quite a bit by halftime, but looks better than I thought.

Crowd looks good and UCF performed as expected by thrashing Kent State. I'm glad football is back :-)

A few observations:
1. CB coverage wasn't that great.
2. Oline wasn't providing a ton of time to throw against a team like Kent State
3. Rushing attack is gonna be key to our success.
4. WRs are good, hopefully JRP keep improving but 3 TO against a team like Kent State shouldn't happen.

Not just the rain. People work on Thursdays ya'll. Orlando traffic is real.

But the weather added to it for sure. I'll be honest. I couldn't see across Lake Eola out my office window at 4PM because of the thunderstorm so my mood changed from "get some tailgating in" to "lets wait this out and get some work done" which is what I did. Made it in for kickoff, but not surprised others didn't.

Most impressively, 15,000 students showed up and got in and a lot more were turned away. If you are a UCF student, you'll need to be in the stadium at least 30 minutes before kickoff to ensure you have a seat.

I watched until the third quarter. Kent St was outmatched from the start. The interception UCF got before the half was amazing effort from the defender.

I think your QB runs too much and the secondary needs to tighten up, but overall UCF looked pretty good.

JRP looked just like the JRP from last season in this game. I'm a bit disappointed that he didn't look like he'd changed his approach to the game much. I think that we were trying not to open up the playbook too much, but with a deep running back corps we shouldn't have had JRP running as much as he did.

The secondary wasn't perfect, but they did get some tight coverage on some downfield plays. And there was the impressive interception by Mask when he got up high and pulled the ball in.

The crowd did start to noticeably thin out in the second half. My family and I stayed until the end. About 99.9% of the time, we stick around until the final whistle regardless of the score. It's what fans should do!
