Ohio Bobcats vs SDSU
Ohio did not look good tonight. The team on the field tonight will not finish first in their division.

Buffalo must have liked what they saw.

How about Jacksonville State and UMass? Anyone catch their games? I saw some of Jacksonville State, they won but from whtat I saw they weren't overly impressive. They beat UTEP 17-14, and if it wasn't for some questionable coaching decsions down the stretch UTEP might have won. They did run for 200 yards, quarterback didn't look very good though. UTEP wasn't very good last year and they only put 17 on them.
Didn't see any of UMass but they beat New Mexico State.

I saw a little of the JSU game. They looked solid but didn't seem overly impressive on offense. QB was mediocre at best.
UMASS will be better this year.
Hope Minnesota has a good game on Thursday against Nebraska.
Howard needs to be taken seriously.

Dear Friends,
I thought the Jacksonville game could have gone either way. To my way of thinking, both Texas El Paso and New Mexico State, have not been winning programs of late and one could have almost predicted their losses. It was also the first game for everyone, and there were many mistakes to go around for both games.

Dear Steve1981,
How many times are you going to throw down the gauntlet? Beating a team that had their first winning season last year, after twenty losing seasons, does not make a conference champion.
I already said it's exciting to win that first game, but keep what I said above in mind, because there is a long way to go.
I may as well add insult to injury here. I don't want your school back in the MAC. Any school that is accepted into the MAC, and then decides to leave, I don't want. That goes for Temple, Marshall, Central Florida, and Massachusettes.
