Nothing says "East" like Colorado! Of course, nothing says Atlantic Coast like California so what do I know.

That is a stupid conference. Good luck to Memphis and Tulane if they sign up for that because they are going to need it. Lol

The only way it even makes any sense at all is with enough teams to have true sensible divisions.

It might make some fans feel their ego to “dump some dead weight” or whatever, but that conference would destroy their recruiting pretty quickly.

As flattered as I am that we are even included in someone's radar, no. Ingram had even stated we don't have the funds to leave....WE JUST PAID TO GET INTO THE AAC. We can't keep sucking the same donors dry.

But, I don't run the train and I'll still gonna be a Blazer no matter where we land. It would be funny if we jumped USF into a reduced P5/4/3

*edit: This isn't even financially logical. Our closet travel partner after Tulane is UTSA. jeezus

MWC schools aren't going to pay $30,000,000 to leave the MWC to join another conference that is essentially the MWC. It boggles my mind how some tweet from some guy living in his parents' basement becomes a thing we talk about around here.

Other than the short term influx of cash the MWC might get from CFP and tournament credits if the entire conference “joins” the PAC-2, I don’t see the benefit long term. Nobody is going to take them seriously as the PAC-?? if it is just the MWC+OSU/WSU. Can the SoCon take credit for all the national championships their former members have won lately?

“Sun Belt power Appalachian State had also drawn interest from the American.“ Interesting that this was included in the article.

I know app state doesn’t really fit what the AAC schools largely are, but I didn’t understand why they weren’t included last time if it was going to be six schools. Their basketball is pretty dreadful, but that’s a big football play if they get pulled to the AAC.
