I’ll see your Penn State Greater Allegheny and raise you Regent.
Sounds like we all need to stop the nonsense. Want one of these (or Randolph College or Mid-Atlantic Christian for the W&M folks) play them as a scrimmage. But once the the season starts, we should all be focused on playing D1 teams. There are plenty of opportunities to have games against bad teams, even at home. I wish our conference would step in and not allow such games without a waiver (there are always legit reasons to have these games every now and then)

RE: 2023-24 men's hoops schedule
We added a road game vs. Winthrop per the full schedule.
Also, interestingly the Fairfield/Queens games are part of a tournament sort of thing. (Basically, Fairfield and Queens are playing each other at the DAC between our games with each of them.)

Winthrop is a good program, though a lot different without Kelsey. Hoping thats a home and home series. Far worse teams to grab though. If it was just 1 road game, felt we could have gone bigger for the team we have

RE: 2023-24 men's hoops schedule
As for how it looks. Not a super demanding schedule. For the team we have, I would have wanted a stronger schedule, however for most they will be happy as its mostly a local schedule
Non Conference: 11-2 (loss in the final at WFC and 1 of Princeton or WVU. I think we steal one of those games as a win)
Conference: 14-4 (split with UNCW, Towson and Delaware, loss to CofC)
25-6 overall.
Even 24-7 I would be thrilled with. Anything at 12 or fewer conference wins will be disappointing. Same with if we dont make the final at the WFC for the big five classic. A big ask, possibly, but I do like the squad we have. So much depth. Let's just hope we utilize it correctly.

man i hope you're right. the best thing i can do is have no expectations going on. that's when things seem to go the best...like the phillies and eagles last year.
thank god for the big 5 classic or this would be a lame home schedule. i'm excited for it and hope it's well supported so it's not the first and last year. the road schedule is better. lots of winnable games for a team that expects to compete for a league title.

RE: 2023-24 men's hoops schedule
The biggest question truly is what can we do on the road? Are we past our road woes during the Spiker era? Im certainly not confident we are, but again, the competition we are playing isnt that strong so even bad good should yield wins.
