Hi all, was hoping you all that are familiar with Ann Arbor area wouldn't mind providing some recommendations on places to eat and drink while I'm in town later this month for a few days.

I've never had Detroit style pizza so I'd be up for that or any other Michigan-specific foods I should try.

I like craft beer but prefer lager, hefeweizen, and wheat type of beers. Not really into IPAs or sours, even though I know they are all the rage.

Also really enjoy cocktails. So if there are any distilleries that make good cocktails I'm up for that too.

Hey Man - you want great Barbecue get RiceWood. You want great beer get Corner Brewery in Ypsi. The best deli in the state is Maize and Blue. Raven's Club is the best cocktail bar downtown. Zingermans is overrated.

Check out Wolverine Lager House. Don’t worry, it isn’t smothered in UM gear.

I found Wolverine State Brewery on Stadium Blvd, Dom Bakeries in Ypsilanti, and quite a few Jet's pizza locations in the area.

Order your Jets square pie 'well done' and the bottom will be so crispy! Many locations also sell single slices at lunch.

So far I've been to Dom Bakery and The Ravens Club.

Also stopped by the EMU campus and walked around Rynearson Stadium and the indoor endzone facility. Took a bunch of pictures. Hope no one minds me sharing.

I hope you had a great visit my rival! If you golf, please visit Eagle Crest GC, it is breathtaking!

Visit the original Knight's Steakhouse restaurant on Dexter Rd. for a cocktail - get a designated driver, they pour em stiff!
