I've heard before where CCU's pitching might become an issue. What happened? Injuries?

It is good that more teams learn that we have a true fanbase, especially in baseball.

It’s just funny how it’s happening each individual opponent at a time.

I go back to my post a few days ago about SEC fans not acknowledging anyone else’s existence. If fans cheer outside their conference, they don’t really make a noise.

Yeah, we were pretty thin anyway then lose two guys that were weekend starters. A couple of young guys stepped up then that stretched out the bullpen further. We were also just very inconsistent in the bullpen.

Losing that first game in the regional put us behind the 8-ball even though we got great starts the next few games.

Had two starting pitchers down in the SBC tournament and one out and one questionable in the NCAA tournament. About 3 relief pitchers came on strong towards the end of the season to be moved to fill the starting roles. We tried to work back one starter this weekend who had been injured but he hadn't pitched in a while. We have a solid closer in Teddy Sharkey but our biggest struggles are in middle relief. No reliable arms there.

We couldn't afford to give up those 9 runs in one inning and lose Rider. It was going to be hard to make it out of the elimination bracket with the bullpen depth we had. Disappointing but not surprising. We couldn't lose Game 1 to Rider.

The Twitter thread is a war zone too.

Even after the experiences of 2 nearby SEC schools last post-season, these mfers still talking about taking over the ballpark. The ignorance is hilarious.

Any chance we can phone in some favors from allies in Lafayette, Mobile and Troy to buy up several hundred tickets to make sure that the away team is unwelcome?04-rock01-lauramac2

Gill needs to start sending USM apparel in the mail to all the SBC schools. I'm sure some of us would be happy to rent some mustard costumes for the weekend.

Typical SEC foolish behavior on that site. Only way to shut their ignorant traps is to beat ‘em.

Go SoMiss! Sweep and humble those arrogant fools! The SBC has come to play and win!!!

USM sold out our regular season, the Regional and Super Regional we hosted last season and only sold the minimum required to the Away teams for those. We sold out all but the required 100 tickets we had to sell to the general public by Tuesday and did those out in minutes on Wednesday.

Nice thought, but the season was again a sell out. So season ticket holders had first chance to buy their seats. Tennessee got the ncaa required allotment to take care of their athletic department folks and player/coach families. I’m seeing tickets going for $600 and up on my social media. Our football team is begging for seats on Twitter, but it doesn’t look like anyone is giving the tickets away - even to them. The tickets are not as high as lsu or ole miss coming in, but still steep for a baseball game. TTT
