Would Wake Forest acceot partial SEC membership??
As part of a deal to get UNC & NC State in the SEC?

You need to flesh out the proposition a little more. Who else besides UNC and NC State for example.

The phrase "partial" has become synonymous with playing less conference games as it takes to play for the league title.
Perhaps what Dawg was suggesting is some sort of lessor, or JV football association under the combined umbrella of a new 32 team de facto Southern Conference?

That's basically what I was going for. While Wake football has limited reach, olympics is different, IMO, and it would be a bribe to Wske to let the SEC hsve what it wants.

Counter-offer: SEC gets UNC, Duke, UVa and Wake; ACC keeps NC State, adds SMU and one other tbd.

I can’t speak for Wake, but a deal that wouid still pay what Wake is getting paid in the ACC and annual games against UNC, Duke or NCSU sounds like a deal.

So if I understand, that's Wake and Duke to the SEC for all sports except football, payouts equal to the ACC, they play each other plus UNC and NC State every year (so that takes up two of their OOC games)?
I don't know if that deal is on the table, but assuming the ACC then splits the same TV payouts 12 ways instead of 14, it's a no-brainer. Win for Duke & Wake, 2 guaranteed P5 OOC games for UNC and NC State, and a big win for the ACC!

I would like FSU get a ND type of deal if that’s what the OP is thinking of with Wake. A flexible schedule, with the possibility of a much different schedule year to year is pretty cool.

You mean like what you have now and going forward?
Over the next four years you only play Miami, Florida, Clemson, and Syracuse every year.

Yes. Most discussion is either a 3-6-6 or a 1-7-7 format. It hasn't been decided yet.
