The advantage the Big12 has is geography and all the schools are relatively close to equal value of each other, so nobody is upsetting the apple cart. This also happens to be strength of the SBC and MAC.

The advantage the Big 12 has is that they don't have any schools that have enough value that either the SEC or B1G would want.

We lived through the WV mafia a decade ago. The Big12 twitter/CSNBBS "sporons" learned well from WV.

I wish ACC expansion can include Rice and Tulane. We need smart people.

When Big 8 became Big 12 by raiding SWC. They only chose Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Baylor. And let the other four SWC schools Houston, SMU, Rice and TCU scrambled to find new homes. That is so unfair.

It's four times worse this time.

RE: Rooting for the ACC
It is pretty Ironic that they're the most stable because no other conference wants their teams.
Yet the ACC is in Jeopardy because most of our teams are desirable.
If the ACC lost 8 to the SEC and 4 to the B1G including ND, the other 3 would still be picked up by the B12. That's how much better the ACC is than the B12.

Who told you the Big 8 raided anyone?

No one raids Texas. Texas dumped Houston, SMU, Rice, and TCU by the roadside and aimed to dump Baylor and TT as well.

Historical revisionism is horrible. It's like claiming the Poles provoked the Nazis or that the North attacked Charleston SC to start the Civil War.

The same thing can be said about the MAC and look at where they are.
