Greg McElroy: Very Interesting Commentary (B/C He Agrees w/ Me)
Quote:w/in 3 years every single one of aforementioned schools will be out of acc

a lot of teams in sec would push back on inclusion of teams already in the footprint

sc, fl, ga are accounted for no need to be redundant

sec in no hurry to add brands

unequal shares of revenue won’t work why big 12 broke up

independence on the table

amounts are so significant

nc state, virginia tech align w/ sec culture

if I’m b1g brand I’d want most north carolina

(state of) florida very, very, very appealing to the b1g

being a private institution Miami would be at the top of the b1g’s pecking order

plugged-in cfb/xfl commentator opines ...
where are the mr sec’s ...
the davidstupid’s ...
the brynwtf your name is ...
who routinely run down my Miami ...

Yep, he doesn't have a damned clue what he is talking about. The presidents and Commissioners have a totally different view. He's playing to the hoi polloi because the real issues don't drive hits and sell copy.

RE: Greg McElroy: Very Interesting Commentary (B/C He Agrees w/ Me)
Quote:On Monday, ESPN's Paul Finebaum spoke on the "McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning" podcast, expressing his concerns and reasons why he believes Clemson and Florida State wouldn't be suitable additions.

"Clemson, to me, quite frankly, doesn't bring that much," Finebaum said. "I know it brings a national championship program from a couple of years ago. Clemson won twice, but from a geographical standpoint, I don't think they add anything. I think South Carolina already covers the area in that part of the world very well."

Regarding Florida State, Finebaum noted similarities with Clemson, mentioning existing SEC schools in their region.

"I think Florida State is similar. I don't think they're nearly as attractive as they think they are," Finebaum stated. "Besides, Florida already covers that part of the world and so I think Miami, to me, would be next. I think it's an important part of the country. It's a very populated part of the country too."

it isn’t happenstance that desantis announced his presidential ambition in Miami and not the state capital ...
