Feds handcuff, interrogate pilot after raiding WRONG hotel room during training exerc
Quote:On Tuesday, a group of federal agents accidentally raided the wrong Boston hotel room of a sleeping airline pilot in a botched training exercise that found FBI and Defense Department officials handcuffing and interrogating the confused man for almost an hour.

According to CBS News Boston, the FBI released a statement after the incident and said, "At approximately 10:00 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the FBI Boston Division was assisting the US Department of Defense in conducting a Department of Defense (DOD) training exercise at a hotel in Boston to simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment. Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player."

"Thankfully nobody was injured," the FBI continued. "The Boston Police Department was called and responded to the scene to confirm that this was indeed a training exercise. Safety is always a priority of the FBI, and our law enforcement partners, and we take these incidents very seriously. The Boston Division is reviewing the incident with DOD for further action as deemed appropriate."

The Delta Air Lines pilot was staying at the Stuart Street Revere Hotel on the 15th floor. After he had gone to sleep agents started banging on his door, room 1505, and ordering him to let them in. After he complied they entered and began their mock interrogation and training operation which included tossing him into the room's shower at one point.

The professional government agents realized the pilot, who was a man in his 30s, was not a part of their exercise over 45 minutes into their training operation, which was designed to prepare agents for deployment in the Defense Department.

Local police and EMS were called by the hotel and the pilot refused treatment after the incident.

Delta said in a statement, "We are looking into reports of an alleged incident in Boston that may involve Delta people. We have nothing further to share at this time other than to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our people."

Former FBI agent Vic Hartman said, "Night arrests are unusual so why would you train for a night arrest at 10 pm."

"It's unusual, there could be a justification for it, it's just not apparent to me on the surface," Hartman added.

Sounds like they were receiving their training from Jan 6 FBI agents. They've been raiding wrong houses for the past two years.
