For the most part we are over the name thing. The war is over and Louisiana is the victor. It’s mainly in-state folks or various beat writers/media outlets that get some heat from us. A good bit of people on here refer to us as ULL and you really don’t hear us ***** anymore.

Seems to me that being offended by your actual name is being more petty than someone actually calling your school by its actual name.

As stated previously, we've been down this road before. It was months worth of cattiness that we are not going to repeat. Any more LU, ULL, LALA posts will be removed.

Marshall split with Butler and beat Colgate and Portland St to start 3-1 for the weekend.

Definitely not offended by it. It’s just comical that the same people that ULL us are the same ones that refer to every other school by the name they are branded as. Texas, Cal, Ole’ Miss and ect. Literally dozens of examples. It’s only done out of spite and frankly petty.

Take what the SBC will give you. That's what they have on the website.

ULM going 3-2 isn't too bad. Split with both Western Michigan (middle of the road MAC) and Houston Christian (middle of the road Southland). Then there is a solid D-II program in Lindenwood that we beat 6-2. As long as we sweep Alcorn St I'll consider it a good start.

I thought Lindenwood was moving up to D1.

Lindenwood is a D1 school now and are in the 1st year of 4 in the transitioning process.

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure about that so I just went with last year's status.
