I saw it mentioned that today was the last time this group of players would be together, so that’s why they did it so soon.

As much as we all enjoy the Stallions winning it all 2 years running, for the health of the league, another team probably needs to win next year. The USFL has been good football for two season, and was better this year then last. I’d expect the progression to continue. With the way the XFL is set up, after losing $60mil this year, it’ll be interesting to see what happens after next season. A straight up merge wouldn’t be horrible, with 8 teams owned by the USFL and 8 teams owned by the XFL. Just make it USFD/XFD(Divisons) and play during the USFL current schedule.

Who went to the parade? How was the turnout? Hope those guys have a great off season, heal those wounds and get ready to defend again next spring.

It was pouring rain when it started

Luckily I stayed in the parking garage to see it go down. There were a few brave people at the parade.

The parade was on the team's IG Live, I should've seen it instead of going out there

I suspect that mass turnover of players and coaches will be the case each season.

I always wonder with these leagues how contracts work. Are they with the team or with the USFL? How much trading between teams goes on, if any? Are there players that played for BHM in season 1 that played on Memphis in season 2(fill in any team names)?

I know in the old ECHL the roster could only be made up of so many veteran players. After that group guys could only do 2-3 years in the league before they weren’t eligible anymore. Not sure exactly how it worked, I just remember reading it. I wouldn’t want that for the USFL, but it would require the teams to change rosters over time, but in football I don’t think it’s that big a deal. Most guys will probably move on after a few years anyway due to the beating these guys take and getting older.

Last point for this post, will Baker Mayfield be in the XFL or USFL in the next 2 years?

USFL is in negotiations with NFL to be able to allot players, like the old World league did. This would really hurt XFL, while proving elite talent for USFL with players on NFL rosters (think 3rd string QBs, Special team players wanting to prove they can play regular position, ect)

I saw that. That would be HUGE.

Wow! ESPN would then have to acknowledge the existence of the USFL.

That would be a huge hit to the XFL and a huge boost to the USFL. Should also result in a financial boost to the USFL.
