Yes, the earliest spring practices usually start around mid-Feb. Is it possible this could be a strength and conditioning session? I don't know who the coach with the whistle was in the video, but if that's your strength and conditioning coach then I'd imagine that's not a formal practice but a "workout" session...

Yes. These are winter workouts. The media team needs something to hype though, lol.

App’s first off-season workout was today

Spring ball at App starts on Feb 20.

Indeed, seems like strength and physical conditioning has begun. The guy in the video is apparently a new S&C staff, Mike Sirignano from Louisville/App State. Are App State folks familiar with him?

I remember one strength coach we had. Guys came out of the tunnel looking like prized steer. Huge, beefy and muscular. Broke all kind of weightroom records.

They had no agility, at all. We were injury prone the whole season. Receivers couldn't catch anything. Everybody pulling hammys. It was pretty awful. I think that guy was gone after one season. Thinking that was '16 or '17. He was all lift and no stretch, or at least it appeared that way.
