At least we will have a lot of college football to watch during the week now.

Not my baby.. I'm all in on the 'Belt y'all.

But I will say this. CUSA is rebuilding the brand and they're doing what they need to survive and grow. Can't fault them for that. A year ago I believe we were crowing about if the SBC3 was able to get out and get in the Belt, and after this season they'd be folding, but they're not. They found teams to bring into the fold and are doing what they can to survive.

To be fair this is a better deal than the previous one and achieved with worst assets to offer.

Maybe if leadership had done their job the SBC wouldn't have surpassed them in a seven year period.

Instead of losing three to the SBC they may have been able to bring in 3-5 members. Still would have been a geographic mess though.

Agreed. Not great but better than they had. And really, not that much worse than the SBC.

Karma is a ***** - I remember many CUSA fans ragging us with our handful of weeknight games. So it’s a little funny. But we also should know that although we have a better deal it isn’t exponentially better.

True. And that's not a terrible thing. If the AAC and MWC drop revenue and exposure a little to be more in line with the other 3 G5s (which I think will happen), there should be even more parity between the five leagues. Which I like and a level playing field is good for the sport.

Some of those were ODU and Marshall fans, and my posts weren't popular over there. 04-cheers.

RE: C-USA October football schedule
I'm gonna say, I personally like that C-USA is doing it. I like watching college football, and games like UTEP/NMSU seem fun to me.

But I will say I'm glad ODU is no longer in C-USA. October is my favorite month for football, the weather is perfect. And for it to be full of mid-week games that virtually no one could go to would be pretty depressing.

At least they will be getting exposure compared to what C-USA is getting. Yes Tuesday games suck but Wed/Thu games aren't that bad to be fair.

Nah, bruh. $750k/yr/school and nary a Saturday game in October conference-wide is hella worse than what the SBC has.

RE: C-USA October football schedule
I feel for Marshall's former conference mates in this case. Going from a Thursday game to a Tuesday game doesn't allow time for adequate recovery, plus it adds pressure onto the players to get their academic affairs in order.

Going from a Saturday to a Thursday is probably easier than Thursday to Tuesday.

Does the quality of game depend on which level of gas you get?

Or how much.
