it won't be Ladner ... however, our defensive corch may be in 'play' ... I'm still laughing how he almost elbows Ladner in the jaw coupled with both their expressions...

I saw it live during our halftime, lol!

I'd give us about a 25% of winning this. If Haase is back I'd give to normal I'd go over 50%. But, I don't know if he'll be out of whatever funk he's in.

that's about right ... we're either going to have to heat it up outside and/or win it on defense ... toss in it'll be our 3rd consecutive road game, and yeah, marsha should be ~8.5 fave...

if the total is in the 136 range, I know I like the under ... I'm seeing a low scoring game...

That happened the season before our last trip to The Dance and 11 months before our last conference football championship. If it does happen again, I’ll just take it as a good omen.

Game would have been bigger as an opener, i think, or if we were both undefeated in conference. There are definitely chinks in our armor. And we're Jekyl and Hyde. Depends on which Herd shows up for it and that may not be enough.

If Haase is getting doubled/triple teamed and HACKED with no calls (which is what's been happening since UNLV), then it's 50/50. Haase is key. Good news in all of this is Pinckney has been stepping up. If Haase, Crowley AND Pinckney are all playing good then we will win convincingly. But Haase is key...shut down Haase and that greatly increases your chance of beating us. Also, we've been in a TEAM funk in regards to turnovers/bad passes these last few games (<---another stat to pay attention to on our end). How much scoring production does Marshall get from its bench?

Nothing from the bench to speak of.

My honest take on our team - some nights we click, some we don’t. We have no consistency, so no real shot at a regular season crown. We do have the talent for a tourney run, so that’s our only shot. My guess is USM will win by 6 if they play hard defense and hit the boards. The key to beating Marshall is guard penetration.

From what people here have said it's going to be MMA fights with occasional baskets. Hopefully Ladner stocks up on brawlers. No skill needed if you can just shove up to the basket, reach up, and lay it in.

I think this game is going to come down to the free throw line once more, where we have struggled.

Southern Miss is going to have a hard time punching it in the paint against us, but we are going to have a hard time penetrating their defense as well.

Are you a ball control passing offense? We struggle with that like Banker said. We can stop forwards driving in the paint, but we can't stop set plays and passing for some reason.

We really only have two shooters, and a bunch of guys that are penetrators. Our shooters need to shoot for us to have a chance.

If it's officiated anything like the game at ULM, Marshall will win easily. Haase got hacked a bunch under the basket with many no calls. Teams have determined the way to beat USM is to be very physical with Haase, and it's working. He isn't scoring and is getting frustrated with all the blood he is donating without foul calls.

I expect Marshall to win this game pretty easily, by 10+ points.

Looks to be pretty even across the board. The key to the game is going to be our two centers banging it out, we also have a backup center at 7 ft.

Marshall will have the best player on the court in Taevion Kinsey, our only chance of winning is another big game from him.

If I had to break it down to one stat it'd be TURNOVERS.

Whoever doesn't turn the ball over the most, will win.

no question it's been sketchy lately ... the only team (in conference) I've seen move it as well/better is JMU...
