This is just a S-post/troll thread don't take it personally.
It's allowed every now and then to give us something to argue about.

Hard for me to take a dis against the Wheat People personally, since I'm a Memphis fan. 03-lmfao

I just think it's silly to call out anybody in this conference of the tallest midget misfits, especially when Wichita hasn't been anywhere near the bottom.

Five seconds of thought could most likely come up with a better subject. Like who has better BBQ, Memphis or Kansas or Texas or Carolina? :)

You know I'm from Texas and live in the Carolinas and when I went to a BBQ spot all they had was pork. And I couldn't figure out why they didn't sell beef. I was also in a potluck and tried to find the "chilli" and kept looking over the bowl that had beans in it. Come to find out that was the "chilli".

A later realized that was just a Texas thing apparently.
Either way I love pickles so I'm a fan of Carolina BBQ but I can't get over the beans being in the chilli.

I'll try Memphis BBQ this year though. Looking forward to seeing what it's about.

Just a minor touch foul, really, it was all pure political correctness. That's why eight guys on his roster transferred out at once, right?

Gimme a break. If it wasn't really bad he'd still be coaching there. Hell, just his wife's behavior was a disgrace, let alone his.

I remember hearing about his wife, what did she do again?

That or he acted like a Richard. I know which choice I find more plausible.

did you read my response in the other page.. political correctness is likely why he was fired.. or he would have been fired when the incident happend... not after the 7th jeff goodman article .

im not saying what he did wasnt bad, but if jeff goodman didnt exist he would likely still be coach

All true. Goodman has had it out for Marshall before his "investigation" and he just recently tweeted about all of the WSU transfers and putting all of the blame on Marshall which is a bit much. He included Eric Stevenson who is on the verge of getting kicked off WVU, and Mo Udeze, who transferred after LAST SEASON.

During WSU's Final Four run in 2013, Goodman was on Dan Patrick's show just prior to Marshall being a guest. If I recall, Patrick asked a general question to Goodman about Marshall. And Goodman replied that no one really like Marshall, he was odd, not respected etc.

Something must have happened between them prior to 2013.

the incidents that caused the firing were seasons old when it came to light ..

they fired him because 1 major reporter made it almost personal and would not let the story go away and that Wichita had to fire him or make it seem like they supported an abuser...
the program knew about the incident when it happened they didnt fire him.. political correctness is likely why he got fired even if there was abuse

what marshall did was borderline abusive but what he did is likely more common that most people want to admit...

Please tell me about this single reporter who kept this alive? What was his motive? Was it personal and why? He destroyed their program with his reporting…..if true.
it was jeff goodman (works at stadium)
im not sure if it was personal but he refused to let the story die ..did like 5 articles and hundreds of interview and podcasts about it

he either really disliked marshall and/or saw this as an opportunity to get a Pulitzer and this be his big time break story or something

He DID or he was accused of doing it? There's a huge difference. If he DID that why is WSU paying him still?

The investigation was never released but we have two key facts.

Marshall accepted a buyout of 7.5 million of the 15 million he was owed
WSU Offered a buyout of 7.5 million more than 0 he would have been fired for at cause.

Tells me it was true in some form but previous WSU administration knew about it and might have tried to cover it up so neither side wanted it to go to court or for the investigation to be released.

They should’ve never fired Greg Marshall. Been trash every since.

He didn't give them any outs to NOT fire him. Blame Marshall not WSU.
