The plans, still in the early stages with the City of Coral Gables, would seek the City’s approval for a 162,000 square foot Football Operations Center and a 200,000 square foot parking garage (Dickinson Garage).

The proposed Football Operations Center would include offices for all football personnel, player locker rooms, a fitness center, team meeting rooms, an alumni lounge, rehab and treatment facilities, a photo studio, media offices, podcast rooms and a simulator room.

The proposed Dickinson Garage would also feature an 18,000 square foot dining facility.

What will it cost?

“It’s a 172,000-square-foot building, and it would be in the neighborhood of $200 million….

“It does keep changing because the market keeps changing from a construction perspective.”

UM’s athletic director addressed all of that — and more — in a conversation with the Miami Herald.
