In an effort to save on salaries we'll be rotating DCs week to week, utilizing coaches from the local high schools. First up is Kent Roosevelt followed by Ravenna, then Streetsboro...

I heard they were going to be testing if this is a job that can be replaced by AI. ChatGDC.

I just asked Chat GPT, "Do you think could be a good Defensive Coordinator?"
Reply: "I could certainly analyze game strategies & stats to help devise effective defensive strategies, but without real-world experience in coaching or playing football, I might lack the practical insight & intuition that seasoned coaches possess"
What does Flash Nation think? Should we give them a hire? 2nd interview?

You all think it was for fun that they had the basketball coaches helping out Saturday? Maybe they found out they're probably amongst the most qualified football minds on the payroll and in an effort to keep costs down Coach Sendy may just be the OC and Coach Starkey the DC.

Might not have the practical insight that a seasoned coach possesses, but how well can it recruit, can it do a deep dive into the rosters of bad FCS programs and find some hidden talent buried and trying to break into their 2-deep?

How's this for you Polish Hammer?
Me: How do you feel you would recruit at FBS Football Level?
ChatGPT: Recruiting at FBS Football Level would involve targeting top high school athletes, showcasing the benefits of playing for the program, emphasizing academic support, facilities, & potential for professional development, all while maintaining compliance with NCAA regulations. It would require building relationships w/ players, coaches, and families & demonstrating how the program aligns with their athletic & personal goals.
Me: You are hired.
ChatGPT: Thank you! I'm excited to contribute to the recruiting efforts at the FBS Football level.
Me: Go Kent State!
ChatGPT: Go Golden Flashes! Kent State has a rich tradition & I'm ready to help them reach new heights.

RE: Football Offseason
I'm sold.
Me: What's your strategy for targeting P4 players at Kent State?
ChatGPT: Targeting Power Five (P4) players for Kent State requires a tailored strategy to compete effectively with larger programs. Here's a strategic approach:
1. **Identify Ideal Candidates**: Focus on P4 players who may be seeking more playing time or a change in environment. Look for athletes who fit the team's needs and align with Kent State's culture and values.
2. **Highlight Unique Benefits**: Showcase Kent State's strengths, such as its academic programs, facilities, and coaching staff. Emphasize the opportunities for leadership and development within the program.
3. **Leverage Success Stories**: Share success stories of past transfers who have excelled at Kent State, demonstrating the program's ability to elevate players to the next level.
4. **Establish Personal Connections**: Reach out to targeted players with personalized messages that highlight their potential role within the team and how Kent State can support their academic and athletic goals.
5. **Offer Clear Path to Success**: Provide a clear plan for how the player can contribute to the team's success and advance their career at Kent State. Show how the program can help them achieve their long-term aspirations.
6. **Utilize Relationships**: Tap into existing relationships with players, coaches, and recruiting networks to gain insights and build trust with potential transfer targets.
7. **Visit and Engage**: Invite players to visit the campus, meet with coaches, and experience the culture firsthand. Engage with them throughout the recruiting process to demonstrate Kent State's commitment to their success.
By implementing these strategies, Kent State can effectively target P4 players and attract top talent to their program.
