I think it does more for the ASUN than anything else. As far as the UAC is concerned, at least it gives the eastern division one more team.

It’s going to be interesting to see what the schedules look like. I don’t think we want to play 9 or 10 conference games each year. But if we don’t, then we will have unbalanced schedules which leads to other issues.

We'll be at 11 when UTRGV joins. Maybe we get one more (Valdosta State?) and end up with a 12 team conference where we can play a division format.

The problem is, though, that the tight FCS schedule doesn't allow for a conference championship week if you want to play in the playoffs, and we would still need a way to award the autobid.

UAC doesn’t have divisions.

UAC doesn’t have divisions.

I know that, but that is how we are already treating it.

It's the natural division of the WAC and ASUN.

There is a way...

Everyone in each division gets ranked prior to final regular season week. That week on the schedule would be a TBA week. WAC #1 plays ASUN #1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and so on. Then you have your championship game. The games wouldn't be a detriment to the playoffs. It would also be good for SOS going into playoffs.
