From what was said yesterday, Mo State's team this year bears almost no relationship to last year's team - almost the entire roster is new (and, to a large extent the same is somewhat true with us). How could anyone possibly know (or think) that they are 'superior' to us when they have no idea how their group will perform , particularly until they jell into an actual team as opposed to a new collection of players?

People haven't obviously adjusted their thinking to the new free agency/portal world.

It's a mindset that the MVC is superior to the CAA along with UNCW. Hofstra lost to a MTSU that was destroyed by Mo State so i'm sure they expected to beat UNCW easily.

I really think our tough OOC schedule up front is going to pay off since we aren't going to see that kind of size for the rest of the season. The Mo State team was pretty big as well. Thomas, White and Shy seem to have no problem going to the basket now and they can all hit their FT's. Thomas is really gaining confidence each game. I wish he'd be more picky on his three point attempts though. He gets fired up and then decides he's going to take every open shot.
