Seat backs
My least favorite part of homecoming was sitting in a bleacher section behind people that brought and installed seat back chairs that went a good 4 inches behind the bleacher. They never stood up to cheer, they just leaned back and owned the space they had claimed. I'm like 6'3 and the guy behind me was taller than me so we took turns standing. Hope those Aholes did not enjoy the game. Never come back, you are not welcome in densely populated sections.

I actually just bought some, and they've been great. I have three tickets and sometimes my daughter doesn't come. Even with the open seat we get crammed in. With the seatbacks we get the space I paid for, and also I don't have people sticking their feet under my elbows. I do my best trying to make sure they don't scoot back into the area behind me, but with people walking through they do slide back during the game. I readjust, as soon as I notice. I won't go to a game without my seatbacks again. I do stand and cheer too.

RE: Seat backs
My friends and I have well over 10 seats in the lair, and we all live out of town so we rarely all get to a game, we were packing kids on laps trying to make room, the seat back crew seems pot committed on not showing concern.

RE: Seat backs
We had seat backs in front of my seats in 116 for the first time. I hated it, but what can you do.

RE: Seat backs
You can point out that using a physical object to claim space behind your seat may make you more comfortable, but...

All of the seats in my area have nice, cushioned seat backs and cup holder.

RE: Seat backs
I could afford those, but we have been in these since I was a new grad, back when seeing UC in the top 25 was a thrill.

4 inches into your space?

Hope they were at least vaccinated and fully boosted.

I'm not concerned at all at claiming the space I paid for. Not sure why I should be.

RE: Seat backs
I probably came at this from the wrong angle to begin with. I let myself get upset with the people in the chair backs, but it was the increased density of people drawn by the recent success that made the seating so much more difficult, and the chair backs just make it all the worse, but the people sitting in them are fine because they look comfortable, whilst everyone around them that paid the same price is less comfortable.

Sitting in the lair, don't nobody care.

But I'm not great at the splits, which is about what my knees need to do when sitting behind a row of seat backs in the bleachers.
