Portal is pretty quiet right now, but it’ll pick back up again after spring ball ends. If I hear anything directly related to NIU, I’ll relay it. There will certainly be movement.

Scanning through the Portal yesterday, there are a lot Chicago/Illinois guys from the P5 in the portal that never were starters or got a lot of playing time. Maybe they can land one or two that want to be closer to home and play.

CJ West of Kent State entered. He's from Nazareth and had good success at KSU. Interesting to see where he ends up.

I’ve been off X for a while - does anyone know when hammock stopped following him (if he has?). I feel like we could have read the tea leaves if I was paying attention.

Just my two cents here, but based on how good Hampton and Macon look in spring ball I don't see them bringing in another QB at this late date. It would be disruptive and the new person would be getting a late start on learning the offense.
