TBF, your making apples to oranges comparisons. Local law enforcement departments- for the most part - are full of officers who want to keep their communities safe. There are clearly defined roles with little ambiguity. That's not the same for the various Federal agencies where politics has clearly been on display by a large swaths of agents at various levels.

The committee is what it is because of Nancy Pelosi's wild eyed obsession with "getting" Trump. She's the one who took the unprecedented step of blocking Republican leadership from appointing its chosen committee members to the panel. Her out of control leadership in the House is well documented----we now know even untra-Democrat Jerry Nadler has accused her of unconstitutional conduct in her wild eyed vindictive crusade against Trump. Nancy's out of control unprecedented behavior is nothing new and she bears full responsibility for turning the Jan6th "hearings" into the complete clown show we've seen to date.
