Women's soccer is off to a good start at 3-0-1 with their next game Thursday at Duquesne

Men's soccer is at 1-0-1 at the tourney in Harrisonburg with their next game being Saturday night at home against W&M

Field hockey is 0-1 (we got dismantled at #4 Maryland) with our next game home against #16 St Joes on Friday at 4pm at Buckley

Golf gets going in a couple weeks at VCU

Women's soccer won 2-0 @Duquesne and tied St Joes 2-2 moving them to 4-0-2 on the season

Field Hockey lost to #16 St Joes 5-2, then beat Appy State 2-1 in a shootout and are 1-2 on the season

Men's soccer won 4-1 over W&M and lost to Lafayette 2-0, moving them to 2-1-1 on the season

Upcoming matches this week:
Field Hockey is @Fairfield Friday and @Yale Sunday
Womens soccer has temple tomorrow and Lafayette Sunday
Mens soccer is @NU Saturday

Field Hockey won 3-1 at Fairfield, and lost 2-1 at Yale. They are now 2-3 on the season

Women's soccer tied temple 0-0 and beat Lafayette 3-0. They are now 5-0-3 on the season

Men's soccer tied NU 1-1 and are not 2-1-2 on the season (1-0-1 in conference).

Men's Soccer lost to UNCW 2-0 and are now 2-2-3 (1-1-1)

i might go see field hockey at bucknell on sunday. depends on how tomorrow goes. i read on the web site our coach has been around 28 years with a .500 record and 2 ncaa tournament appearances. could be a great mentor and coach for all i know. hope the standards get raised a bit with our new ad though.

If Coach Zelanak represents the university well, and is providing a great experience for her student athletes, then that's good enough for me. Whether or not Drexel has a championship field hockey team doesn't make a blip on the radar for the university as a whole. Some schools prioritize certain Olympic sports more than others. Drexel's focus seems to be on squash and wrestling, others it's volleyball, others it's golf or bowling. I'm sure Drexel would like to win more games and her coaching staff works hard to make that happen.

You have to be a subscriber to read it, but the Inquirer had a story the other day pointing out this is the best start by women's soccer -- by a mile.

that's fine...i guess...as long as that philosophy isn't spilling over to other sports like...you know...men's basketball. i don't get the feeling that it is with the new administration. winning has to be at least somewhere on the radar for a sports program.

Soccer sure is funny. UNCW tied Charleston in that rivalry, where we just whipped them good, but also lost 2-0 to UNCW. Certainly seems like a promising year for both squads in soccer. Especially with no JMU in the way

Our ladies took their first loss of the season in soccer last night to Towson 2-1. So they are now 7-1-3 (2-1). Not a bad loss. Towson is 8-2-2 including a tie with Maryland. They are 1-1-1 themselves in conference (tied NU and lost to Monmouth)

Field Hockey lost to Delaware Friday 2-1 and to Temple yesterday 3-2 and move to 6-5 (0-1)

Men's soccer fell 3-0 to Elon and are 4-3-3 (2-2-1)

Women's soccer rebounded and won yesterday 2-1 over Elon and are 8-1-3 (3-1)
