Wow. The Golden Knights had to risk running Laurent Brossoit through waivers, as both Logan Thompson and Adin Hill are with the NHL club and so far playing outstanding hockey, with only the former waiver-exempt.
Brossoit has cleared waivers successfully and can remain with the team's Henderson Silver Knights farm club (FYI, Henderson is a suburb of Las Vegas.) This was huge in case one of Thompson or Hill got hurt. Robin Lehner, the former starter, is out for the season with hip surgery. If we get lucky, in a year, Vegas may go from having a dearth of goalies to a plethora, and might them be able to deal from strength for other positions of need or future draft picks. IF.

VGK in another tight one at home against the ...Sharks? 2-2 in early 3rd Per...
edit2: I just like sayin' " Marchessault "
edit3: OOOh. We got blown out. 2-5. Is this just some normal regression to mean, or are my earlier suspicions that low competition quality enabled the fast start out of the gate?
edit4: can we at least beat the Coyotes at home?
edit: Man, Devils are crushing it...13-3 so far.

Big news from #mnwild practice, but Marc-Andre Fleury has an upper body injury and is being evaluated today. Evason doesn’t know how long he’ll be out. Wild will recall a goalie from Iowa.

y'all got Max back already? edit: nope, just back on ice at practice. Now you can reshuffle your lines and fix some of your issues. edit: still waiting. Congrats to Kochetkov, though.

Kinda weird how Huberdeau has only notched 8 points so far for the Flames after the 115 points he scored last year. They seem they should be a more dangerous team than they've been so far. Maybe they'll catch fire sometime...
With so many good teams losing tonight, I was a bit worried about a home-ice letdown, but no problems in a 4-1 win and several suyperior stops by Thompson. Also, nifty no-look backhander goal by William Karlsson.
Golden Knights at Bruins Monday Night at the Garden! I hope we can keep up with them!

Wow, what a great game tonight! Vegas goes up quickly 3-0 on the road at Boston. But you just knew it wasn't gonna stay that way, and it didn't. Thompson stopped over 40 shots in regulation. Boston tied it up 3 all and then got the Power Play in OT, but couldn't convert. Shootouts were interesting with several players seeming to over-skate and then Riley Smith ends it with what looked like a more easy-going goal. Congrats on the 2 points, and the great road trip, Knights. Now how about playing that well on home ice.
Welp, the rematch wasn't as good for our end, but in our defense, defenseman Shea Theodore was out, and Jack Eichel has been out a few games now which hurts our scoring, not to mention Petrangelo being out taking care of a sick family member for a while now. Season series goes tied 1-1. See you in the playoffs, Boston!
