Tech has a road game at Wyoming

CUSA should really consider trying to add non football members that move the needle for basketball. This conference is going to be intense in hoops!

Looks like some info on here for this years schedule too.

UTEP opens this season at Texas on Nov 7.

Home and home vs NMSU.

Sun Bowl tourney in Dec: UTEP vs NC A&T, NMSU vs Kent St.

So a good chance that the Miners and Aggies will play a 3rd time.

UTEP MTE with Alcorn St, Cal St Bakersfield, Texas A&M-Corpus Christie.

Still 3 games to schedule for OOC.

WKU "calling out" MARSHALL on twitter in reference to basketball non-conf. scheduling.

Today on on twitter-- Senior Associate AD-- " Speaking from the men's basketball side, I certainly hope we can bring back this rivalry sooner than later. We would love to be playing Marshall 2022-23."

AD Todd Stewart from N-Paper-- " I know where their old leadership stood--they wanted us to continue to play...". " That had developed into a very healthy rivalry in really every sport, and I know one that fans of both programs really look forward to."

Recent comments by new Herd AD indicated no immediate interest in playing WKU.

They setup a series with us in football because it was “somewhere the fans wanted to go”. I can understand why no one would want to go to Bowling Green

Sometimes rivalries don't exactly work as simple as people think. We almost didn't schedule UALR when they left the SBC. There was some sort of feud between the basketball programs at both schools that made things difficult. In the end, the game got scheduled, but you get the feeling on our end it was done without much conviction to continuing beyond the original 4-year deal.

Fan support is what often carries these type games. I guess the question becomes, are Marshall fans that interested in playing you guys?

if Todd signs to play Marshall in basketball and no football home and home....

put Marshall on the same level as Tennessee-Martin because they are very close to that now and will soon be there. So a Western buy game or at best for Marshall a 2 for 1. Otherwise nothing in it for Western and its not like Western recruits that area

I ask because it looks like you are posting for 23-24 and another poster is showing games for 22-23. You should put a date or timeframe on the title of this thread.

One problem for listing future games past the coming season is we generally don't know those until the summer before the season. We still don't know 3 of the OOC games for this season.

I set this up specifically for The New 9 which kicks off in '23-24

Did this the way I did so I'd have access to what information comes about during this scheduling cycle.

This has potential to be a home-and-home for NMSU
