If you do this, it MUST be weighted. I wouldn't want to see a school get a bigger cut because they dominate tennis, golf, and rowing, for instance.

I totally agree and should have mentioned this in my post. Each sport that’s counted is weighted according to a prorated dollar amount.

ND should get paid a full share to maintain status quo.

We should DEMAND more of a cut for us to stay as is.

Play 8 games and you'll get a full share

How is post season revenue distributed? It should be the team keeps 1/2 the revenue and the other 1/2 is distributed between the other members.

No, we deserve more. That is my pitch and I hope Swarbrick tries it. Rattle some cages.

Notre Dame deserves more? DESERVES?

That attitude is a cancer in any organization.

What’s with these younger administrators not wanting to honor their commitments? If your university was stupid enough to sign GOR through 2036, suck it up and honor your commitment.

I was against the ACC Network. If I had known we would all be anchored together by a 20 year contract extension to get a conference network I would have been livid.

Instead our Presidents, Athletics Directors and Conference Administrators thought it best to tie everyone together during the most volatile time in the history of college athletics.

With that being said we are all stuck. All of us. We might as well make the best of a less than perfect situation.

The best thing we can do now is trust our conference administrators are working hard to get a revenue increase for the conference without extending the GOR… again.

Well maybe the organization needs to pass. May it R.I.P.

Uneven revenue distribution would be the death of the ACC

If the ACC lets members keep half of the bowl revenue, for example, I wouldn't necessarily call that "uneven revenue sharing". The rest of the pie could be split equally, but allow that reward for schools that are actually investing in fielding a competitive football program. There are too many member schools that invest way too much money in non-revenue sports and not enough in football. The apathy towards the football budget carries over to the playing field. This shouldn't be rewarded with an equal share of bowl revenue.

For many years the SEC has used a formula you might classify as "unequal", but I don't think it has hurt them any: in the SEC, only bowl-eligible teams share in the bowl money. So if you don't win at least 6 games, you don't get a share. I do think they share net bowl money equally among the eligible teams, although IIRC they do allow a generous reimbursement for travel costs first. [perhaps JR can swing by and clarify this]

Uneven revenue sharing yet the lesser paid schools would still have to pay the same GOR buyout as the Larger payees if schools were to leave ? that's whacked !
