I thought his name was familiar, Garrett Soldano used to play for WMU-as a LBer, I recall.

I am just noting the fact he has WMU credentials, not advocating for or against his candidacy. Let's please not turn this into another political bruhaha-we have more than enough of those in this forum.

I always check to see where a candidate went to college. Kind of cool when its WMU. Its a big diverse university with room for a large spread of ideas. We have Carolyn Kilpatrick Garrett Soldano as proof of that.

That team went 9-3 and lost in the MACC to Marshall. Good to know he was captain of that team.

I'm not going to apologize to any of you for blasting a man who compared government measures to save lives during a public health emergency to the systemic murder of 6 million people. And it is despicable that fellow WMU grads would actually endorse this behavior.

Oh geez, lookee here. More unflattering Garret Soldano news. How many deaths has this proud Bronco contributed to? WOW! I would really want him as my governor.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...virus.html

EXCLUSIVE: Organizer of Michigan lockdown rebellion pushed bogus 'cure' for coronavirus, claiming his $75-a-month juice company made him 'invincible' and would 'dominate' virus

"Soldano claims that with Juice Plus+ it will 'literally' turn bodies 'into an environment of greatness and you'll dominate any virus'. Such claims are without any foundation, scientists have firmly said.

According to the respected Science Based Medicine website 'there is no scientific evidence' that Juice Plus+ benefits health, let alone beats coronavirus.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, Juice+ repudiated Soldano's claims and said: 'We make no claim and have no data to support that our product prevents or treats COVID-19.

The best way to protect yourself and others during this unprecedented time is to follow the latest guidance from public health officials and your health care provider.'"

Oh, and...

"Juice Plus+' parent company National Safety Associates (NSA) was accused of being a giant pyramid scheme in the 1990s in a series of lawsuits over its water filters."

What a guy! What a Bronco!

You made a thread about a polarizing political figure, but you don't want people discussing his political views. What were you expecting people to talk about?

Amazing, Soldano believes in the Big Lie. He believes Dump truly carried Michigan in 2020! Of course he does.

Does this make Soldano WMU's first fascist alum?

https://garrettformichigan.com/issues/

"The 2020 election in Michigan was an absolute disaster.

We all saw what happened in Detroit, and in Antrim County, and it is our responsibility to make sure that this never happens again.

We must have faith in our elections - every Michigander should trust that our process is fair and that their vote counts. An audit of the 2020 election will unveil the truth, identify ways to improve our voting process and help restore faith in future elections.

I support a FULL FORENSIC AUDIT - what do the Democrats have to hide?

Because this Governor and Attorney General refuses to secure our elections, it will take new leadership in Lansing to get the job done.

My administration will expand Voter ID, crack down hard on fraud, make sure every precinct is secure and that every vote is legal."

Will be getting my vote. :)

Won't be able to win in November, but I think Big Gretch will beat any Republican by 10%. This state is gone. Just want to nominate a martyr.

Perhaps Garrett could be a candidate with better integrity. What are we supposed to do, anyway? Only reminisce about his playing days? Get real.

Perhaps Garrett could be less fashy. Then we could focus on his playing days.

Bronco '14 will be by any day now to whine and cry about threads about candidates for political office becoming "political."

Politics aside, it's great to see any WMU Alumni succeed. To have an alumni as a state governor would be a nice feather in WMU cap and would be a valuable ally down the road.

BP remembered something. Not much discussion material there.

Congrats to Garrett on his immense success riding the coattails of the new far right populist movement. There, I contributed to the conversation. Happy?
