Words to live by.

For the moment, I am still hoping that Gerstein/Ward obtained the draft opinion through their own deception or dishonesty. I don’t expect reporters to act with integrity, and I don't believe the public generally does, either. And so if that was the case here, it would help to minimize the scandal.

But the greater likelihood (by far) is that one or more of the clerks within the Supreme Court betrayed the confidences of what went on in those chambers. It’s hard to say at the moment what the odds are, that the individual(s) will ever be positively identified. But if that happens, I predict the individual(s) will suffer absolutely no professional harm whatsoever within legal/academic/media circles. To the contrary, I predict they will be publicly celebrated and thanked for performing a “public service”.

every single bit of that statement by Scalia is paraphrased in "The One Minute Manager" ... Ja, those are words to live by in any capacity of 'management' if one is looking to achieve success...

which is where the 'fail runs rampant' in today's version of 'muh integrity'...

disbarring has become passe based on the whims of mercy for lost souls...

w/o the structure of law and execution of such, this nation is no different than any other...

Seems that way.

It’s been 8 weeks since the draft-opinion leaked. Given the small # of people involved, it seems like the investigation could've been over by now.

I heard rumors...likely just jokes or wishful thinking...that they found the leaker, and it was a conservative, so they didn't care to pursue anything further. 03-wink

So, after 12 weeks, the Supreme Court still has no comment. Officially, nothing has been revealed about the leak, and nothing has been done about it:

I honestly think we’re at a point where no one will ever be identified (much less punished).
