Maybe grandpa should have paced himself on this destroy America thing. He's barely been in there a little over a year and he's almost done with it.

(04-28-2022 10:19 AM)Attackcoog Wrote:  Typically, this is what happens with the Fed. They wait too long and are behind the curve when they begin trying to engineer a soft landing—-which is why soft landing scenarios rarely work out. So, what we have right now is a Fed that waited too long to fight inflation. Now that its finally forced into aggressively fighting inflation by raising interest rates—-it turns out it's raising nearest rates into the teeth of a recession—a full on worst case scenario. And make no mistake---this is a true worst case scenario since the Fed can’t do a thing about the recession because they have no real ammo left to fight a recession (they already have rates at almost zero because they left them too low for too long and only recently began raising them).

The reality? High prices are the natural cure for high prices. The inflationary cycle was caused by too many dollars (the extra mail out stimulus checks) chasing too few goods (due to Covid shut downs). That stimulus money has now largely been spent by consumers and has worked its way out of the system. At this point, consumers are out of stimulus money and back to relying on their normal budgets—-which are now stressed by the higher prices—-causing them to pull back on spending for non-essentials. And—just like that—you have a recession. Now watch as deflation begins to set up shop in portions of the economy—-yup—-you heard it here first. All that chip/electronic inventory backed up in the supply chain will start arriving just as consumers say “we are not spending anymore”. Unfortunately—-we still have substantial inflationary issues in food this year—-so the inflation rate won’t reverse—-but it will decline—-especially with the Fed forced to raise interest rates to rebuild its primary ammo stash for economic pump priming. This recession will be a very deep—-perhaps even one of those dreaded double dip recessions.

Don’t forget paying people more to lay on their backside than take a job long after Covid restrictions were lifted. I guess y’all don’t understand like Democrats do that money does grow on the backs of the working class. Do I say not as I do. Simply out of touch.

The great part about it is all the brain washed that would follow them off a cliff. We are all about to experience these inept incompetent clowns ways of doing things.

I agree this is going to be an UGLY RECESSION that may even give another depression a scare. It’s simply not sustainable as the prices of core products are climbing at an alarming rate with no end in sight.

I’ve never seen anything like this ever.

I would advise everyone here to check their 401K, if you haven't lately.

I lost 22k since Jan. 1.

It's getting scary.

Put your money in tangible assets like real estate or gold or silver actual metal not certificates. Liquid capital is getting chewed up rapidly by inflation. Countries are starting to use other currencies than just the dollar. Our ship is sinking and all these fools concentrate on is how to use social justice to destroy us.

Not sure your age but I won’t be doing that lol and the best time for money to be going in is when the market is low all though there are a ways down from here. Obviously always diversify some and plan that WWIII or the next Depression could happen at anytime. I guess now the next Covid too.

Also, am planning not having it for retirement assuming they’ll take that too at the moment the way this country is being ran. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Still putting in 10% for whatever reason granted 6% is matched.

Yet they called January 6th an “insurrection”?
Let inflation continue to climb forcing food prices even higher.

“There are only nine meals between mankind and anarchy” was said by writer Alfred Henry Lewis (1855-1914) in a March 1906

Let Americans get hungry. Let Americans be unable to feed their children.

If this administration manages to drive our Nation into another Depression, do they really think Americans will lineup for soup again just because they wore masks for a few months?

If this economic nosedive continues it won’t be a few obese white folks entering the capital for selfies.

Americans are done with the DC bureaucracy. They’re tired of politicians from both parties stuffing their pockets with cash at their expense. Our government needs a napalm enema.

Yea, not exactly sure who this has surprised.

The idiot chattering class, perhaps. Not too many others I don’t guess.

Haven’t we been talking about stocked freezers and full pantry shelves here for a while? Like about 15 or so months “a while”?

Not too late just yet folks, go git you some Spam cans, soups, chili, PBNJ fixins. And do yourself a favor, grab some Jiffy cone bread muffin mix, cream corn and some diced jalapeños.

Refill the grill propane tanks. Can cook anything there you need your stove/oven for when the electric grid collapses…

The D's know they are screwed for the midterms. It's just bad news after bad news for them. They will now say anything and blame anyone to help deflect.

The lunacy perpetuated by Pelosi and other Democrats is beyond LET THEM EAT CAKE. I wish she was living on a shoestring budget worried about how she was going to afford fuel prices and still be able to feed her family and pay her bills. Its simply amazing. All Pigs are created equal but some Pigs (Joe, Nancy, Gavin, etc) are more equal than others and IT SHOWS.

But the good news is that most of us have tuned them out and are not listening to their drivel. Few things infuriate the left than more than when people stop listening to them. Take away their megaphone (Twitter) and they go ballistic, foaming at the mouth and fantasizing new ways to tell us that censorship is healthy for a democracy. Or that there was no censorship or that they should be allowed to continue doing what they've been doing. Or something......

Biden* and his incompetent Dem stooges could give a massive honking $h1t LESS the impact of inflation, supply chain shortages, and economic decline to the basic American family. They only need you the first Thursday of November every two years.

Other than that day, they wish you would just STFU and simply ENDURE their insane decisions regardless of the impact. Now, how much of the current student debt should they forgive in order to try and buy a few votes in November? And, NO, they don't want to hear about personal responsibility and ownership.

Stocks are plummeting again today, down 939 right now. Inflation fears are fueling this sell off. Down about 1,080 for this week. Down 2,252 for the past month. Down 3,608 in 2022.

TOLERATE THE ECONOMIC PAIN, AMERICA.
