Wiki founder-left has taken it over
https://townhall.com/columnists/johnstos...s-n2606403

"...But recently I learned that Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger now says Wikipedia's political pages have turned into leftist "propaganda."

That's upsetting. Leftists took over the editing?

Sadly, yes. I checked it out....

Leftists just like to write.

Conservatives build things: companies, homes, farms. You see the pattern comparing political donations from different professions:

Surgeons, oil workers, truck drivers, loggers and pilots lean right.

Artists, bartenders, librarians, reporters, and teachers lean left.

Conservatives don't have as much time to tweet or argue on the web. Leftists do. And they love doing it. This helps them take over the media, universities and, now, Wikipedia.

Jonathan Weiss is what Wikipedia calls a "Top 100" Wikipedian because he's made almost half a million edits. He says he's noticed a new bias. "Wikipedia does a great job on things like science and sports, but you see a lot of political bias come into play when you're talking current events.

Weiss is no conservative. In presidential races, he voted for Al Gore, Ralph Nader, and Barack Obama. Never for a Republican. "I've really never identified strongly with either political party," he says.

Maybe that's why he notices the new Wikipedia bias.

"People on the left far outweigh people on the center and the right...a lot (are) openly socialist and Marxist." Some even post pictures of Che Guevara and Lenin on their own profiles.

These are the people who decide which news sources Wikipedia writers may cite. Wikipedia's approved "Reliable sources" page rejects political reporting from Fox but calls CNN and MSNBC "reliable."

Good conservative outlets like The Federalist, The Daily Caller and The Daily Wire are all deemed "unreliable." Same with the New York Post (That's probably why Wikipedia called Hunter Biden's emails a conspiracy theory even after other liberal media finally acknowledged that they were real).

While it excludes Fox, Wikipedia approves even hard-left media like Vox, Slate, The Nation, Mother Jones, and Jacobin, a socialist publication...."

I dispute some of this. Very rarely does a far lefty even attempt to debate a topic. They use all manner of tactics to avoid a real debate, including redefining words, logical fallacies, steering the discussion off topic, name calling. They want to focus on YOU who wants to show how they are incorrect in their assumptions. YOU are a bad person who engages in misinformation, etc.

Misinformation is the new substitute for RACIST!! which has lost its' clout for being used too much to shut people down. Just accuse them of spreading misinformation, like Obama suggested recently.

Republicans dont know how to fight or to put in the time or effort to do so. Its really that simple because most believe you can win with dollars and dont understand the MIND, EYES, have more value in shaping opinions. While those on the left are willing to do whatever it takes to change the world into how they believe it should be...

the right, will complain, but that's about as far as it goes.

When you are not willing to fight, and get in the gutter, if that's where it takes you to do so. One day you wake up into a world that has all of a sudden changed into something you don't like. If you let it it will eat at you but in all honesty, when you wake up in the morning no matter what has changed....

"you" control the world you live in 24/7 because if you turned off the internet and TV news. Nothing in your everyday life, really changes from what is going on outside of "your world"

But if you want the world to look and act like your values...you have to do more than just complain about those people or the government taking your money. It calls for getting in there and spending the time and the effort needed to help change OPINIONS. For the most part republicans dont have it in them to do just that. Or to get in the gutter, where the real fight on the eyes and the mind is taking place

I've noticed it a lot in the last year or two on Wikipedia. I typically, when watching a movie or a news show that has a guest, I will looked a person up on wiki just to see who they are, what films they've been in, etc. Almost without doubt, if the person is a conservative there will be a section on them about controversies (any connection to a conservative organization is considered racist, homophobic, tranphobic, etc). Any person on the left has no references to their "controversial" activities but merely they are fighting climate change, support X, y, z, etc. Look up any popular conservative and you'll see it.

Most any Regessive just spews talking points and label folks they don’t agree with juvenile name calling. Very few can even have a real discussion without a mental breakdown. They simply cannot think for themselves.

I still remember this Turkish Professor scolding them over and over for regurgitating talking points and not having any thought process of their own. He gave most of them Cs because he stated over and over that International Politics requires critical thinking. I enjoyed watching him skewer them over and over and finish their talking points for them. Then give them a poor grade. I can get your answer out any publication.
