CSN football tailgates
Has anyone put together a meet and greet?
It'd be fun sharing a beer with you trash talking SOBs.

I think having a "CSN/SBCbbs tailgate" party to welcome anyone traveling would be a fun idea.
We're always talking about places to visit, or places to eat on here during football trips, why not have a whole ass tailgate?

We couldn't in CUSA because how do you plan for 3 people? We were lucky to get 100 fans of which only a couple were posters. Most were family and friends traveling with the team.

I think it would be nice to have a CSN tent set up at each home venue on gameday and let people know where it is. Might even draw some local fans of other schools like a TXST fan living in Charlotte driving over for an App game and tailgating with other posters.

Probably the way to do it would be a prominent poster who has a great tailgate already we could make a flag for to let CSN fans know they're welcome there. So if you're wandering around at the stadium and see the flag you just meander over and introduce yourself.

I'd be willing to promote it on my foodtruck.
This group seems a lot more active and engaging than what we had in the Circus. I know I'm a fairly new poster but I'm willing to throw in on food or a spot.
Our normal tailgate is small (it's by Tic Toc Tire) but I'd be willing to grill up some more food for the Marshall spot

I'm just spitballing ideas to see who all would be interested

If that’s the case there should be 14 flags made exactly the same.
Post on here what they look like as a sticky.

One poster from each fan base that has an active tailgate that is dedicated to be there every home game should be given that flag to fly over their tailgate.
So each school/fans have the same thing to look for.

We’re West Lot spot 238. Just look for the Cold Beer flag.

I’d be down for this but I think you could only do it for with certain games because some schools just don’t travel well. You could do these games no matter where they are played: USA vs. Troy, USA vs. USM, StAte vs. UL, Coastal vs. App, Georgia State vs. GS, ODU vs. JMU, ULM vs. UL, Southern Miss vs. UL, Marshall vs. GS, Marshall vs. JMU, Marshall vs. App, Marshall vs. Louisiana, GS vs. JMU, GS vs. App, GS vs. Troy, GS vs. Louisiana, JMU vs. App, JMU vs. Louisiana, App vs. Troy, App vs. Louisiana, Troy vs. Louisiana. Other than that, I would say anytime Marshall, App, GS, JMU, Troy or Louisiana comes to town at any school it would work.

That's the thing about hosting the setup, is people can post here if they plan on being there and interested in going to that tailgate. This way the host would know about how many to expect, if any. And other home team posters could drop by to meet others, too, but likely have their own tailgate areas. Might take a while to get going but if we keep updates on here about how it went and people see some stories about meeting other fans then it would grow. It's how we started meetings from the original GoHerd.com board and those are 20+ year friendships now.

I'm all for this. I'd say our CSNBBS board activity has doubled since joining the SBC and it would be nice to put some faces and names with the handles.

I'd say the best way to do this would be to just set it up prior to a game coming. There are certainly people on this board who travel, but most of us don't have the time or cash to go to every game.

It'd be cool if it could be set up before big events like a Football Title game, or a conference tournament in basketball or baseball.
