All in all I thought this was a very good read, and it very much mirrors what we’ve been saying/polling here.

As an ECU fan I've got to root for USM. We never should've been separated.

Well, the Sun Belt will soon pass the AAC in both baseball and football so perhaps this is where ECU should be?

Agreed, we miss you guys as well. But now you have the ACC6 to keep you company. You probably remember Rice and UAB from CUSA 2.0 and Charlotte is your noisy neighbor with the tiny house. As for UNT/UTSA/FAU, you're on your own to figure out what to make of them.

Well, the Sun Belt will soon pass the AAC in both baseball and football so perhaps this is where ECU should be?

And possibly basketball in the next few years... Memphis and Wichita State aren't going to stay in a conference if there are teams that are dragging their NET down in conference play. It's already going to hurt that Houston, Cincy, and UCF will be gone.

And this season, UTSA was #324, Rice was #215, Charlotte was #188, and FAU was #132. Wins against teams with ratings like that won't help Memphis and Wichita, and any fluke loss will be devastating to NCAA at-large chances.

It'll come to a head whenever Memphis is left outside the bubble come on a Selection Sunday.

i'm surprised their hasn't been more rumblings about Wichita State leaving. Is the new AAC without UCONN,Cincy and Houston any better than the MVC? and theres rivalries and easier travel for Wichita

I'm hoping it happens. I think the AAC TV deal is going to go to the crapper. Hopefully it makes $en$e for us to move in a few years. We'd be really stupid walk away from the current contract and exit fees. I'm hoping we move with UTSA. They would help the West I think. UAB would be good but I'm not sure they'd want to be in conference with Troy and USA.
