Towson-Delaware in the CAA North championship.
UNCW-CofC in the CAA South championship.
Matching 82s longterm vision of the league.

This should be a good one since CofC can put up points against weaker defensive teams, but they also have a hard time defending teams with a decent offense.
Scores were almost identical in our sweep of the Cougs', 86-78 and 85-79.
We had two of our best offensive outputs of the year and took only 15 three pointers in the last game shooting 54% for the game and 40% from three. We turned them over 17 times with only 10 TO's ourselves. We also were an astounding 25-35 from the FT line as we drew a parade of fouls driving the ball and then had to close it out at the line.
I think CofC does what they do and UNCW does what we do and I don't see either team making many adjustments. We just do what we do better and we're back to form.
CAA South Gold Standard 84
CAA South challenger 77

I’d have to think that after a near perfect offensive performance and us actually playing a little D, “college” comes back down to earth

The best thing that happened to us were the pundits dismissing our chances to win the tournament. Our boys love to be underdogs. They looked like they were on a mission last night. When we are at our best, we're the best team in the CAA, and I think we're at our best right now.

We got away with some things last night, most notably Shy being in foul trouble..... AGIAN. He was a huge piece in our comeback early in the second half. He HAS to stay out of foul trouble.

Had their been a 1st half this season where he didn't pick up at least 2 fouls?

Well we have Jay Harv back now so if/ when Shy gets in foul trouble, you get quality that can stretch the D.

Harvey helps tremendously, but what Shy brings is different

We got em right where we want them! I've never seen a level of disrespect we get every game. They are a 6 and we are a 2!!!!!

ESPN has us as 2 point dogs with c of c having a 64.4% chance of victory. The over/under is 148.5.

RE: #6 Charleston - GAME 29 - CAA SEMIFINALS
It's not disrespectful. I felt like it was disrespect earlier in the year when Hofstra was favored by 9 or whatever, but now I think its an algorithm spitting out data. Means nothing to me. It's the coach, sitting in the dugout with no feel for the game, momentum, or the hot hand, completely incapable of accounting intangibles. When they're wrong, they can wash their hands and say, I made the high percentage move (or bet, whatever).
But, like y'all have said, it should keep us focused. Coaches are always looking for ways to be the underdog, and metrics are making that easy this year.

It's definitely disrespect, we have been playing well too. We are a 2, they are a six and it's on a neutral court. It's not like there they had a CAA first teamer missing when we played them and they now got him back.
But, again, I agree with you about them using it for motivation.

Have to think the line shifts a bit closer to the game, no? I can’t imagine the bets going heavy on Charleston with that spread.

Lets just call it the Pat Kelsey effect. He knows how to win in March when the stakes are high...

Sadly that has nothing to do with it. It's been happening with every team all year just about

Lines are determined by statistical analysis. Our team is bad in almost all statistical categories we are good in one category and that is WINS
