Gwinnett Co. was a GOP stronghold from ~1980 until 2018. Democrats hold all county-level positions now, and a clear majority of the School Board. The chairman of the School Board is 29 years old, militant left-wing on everything, and is running to be the state Superintendent of Education. This is shaping up to be a bad year for Dems, so I think we will probably be spared this for now on a statewide basis. But that’s the basic drift of things for now.
