i don't think its fire dawkins... yet

this season was a letdown but its still an NIT-ish level team..

you have 3 super seniors --- out of those 3, everyone else is a covid Sophomore or younger

perry/mahan looked like huge losses in the preseason, honestly their play this season can be replaced

and you have a top 50 recruit coming in..

Diong is also gone, and we don’t really have a center to replace him, Reynolds isn’t the answer. Green will be our only real shooter left. We better do some real work in the transfer portal.

We should have lots of schollies to use though, with Diong, Perry, and Mahan exhausting eligibility, and Mobley and Tony Johnson apparently left the team. I personally would prefer if we signed good high school players, but other than the Hendricks twins, Dawkins seems to be resorting to the portal for this year. Make or break year next year for him.

Houston broke Cincinnati's defense. Prior to the Houston game UC had allowed teams to score 1.00 PPP or greater twice all season. They've allowed that 5 of the last 6 games. They've gone from top 25 in kenpom adjusted defense prior to the Houston game to 65th, just a massive drop over a 6-game stretch.
