The employee contracts need to be rewritten to eliminate protest absences. Until that happens, these teachers can take their sick days in accordance with the district's official policy.

Hopefully the district doesn't back down, and fires teachers as they run out of sick days (citing job abandonment). Hopefully parents and students that are participating in this rebellion will quit and go back to school or end up regretting it as they will be stuck finishing the school year while other districts are deep into their summer break.

So these educators are on record basically saying they don't like who the parents and citizens elected because THEY want to be in charge.

Realize, of course that the majority of these teachers are democrats. Just like their party, what they care about is POWER. This is the teachers union throwing a hissy fit because the public in Douglas County (one of the more affluent suburban areas around Denver) elected a more conservative school board and threw out the extremists. This power play has been going on for several years now.

Totally separate issue and it wouldn't happen due to the politicization of covid. The teachers would be FOR mandates. They've done all they could to avoid having to be in the classrooms for two years now. But you probably already knew that. The situation is complicated and my only source is the notoriously liberal Denver Post, so I take the 'reporting' with a grain of salt. If you read the comments below the article, the vast majority of them are libs who of course, do what libs do - call names.

Conservatives exercise power by the new opportunities they create for the populace.

Here's something to think about ...

While we, democrats and republicans both, have been worried about the "big offices".. You know what socialist and communists have been doing? They've been influencing and taking control of things like school board positions, da offices, police boards, etc... Why? Because they know that indoctrination best takes control at a local level, so those people they "teached/trained" would already be communists/socialists by the time the kids moved up and on to adulthood....

Heard on the Jesse Kelly radio show.. and he's 100% right!

20+ years of socailist/indoctrination at a local level, is going to take 40 years to undo, if it's not too late...
