This would probably open the door to a massive civil/revolutionary war. Even the LibComms would fight this. This "zero deaths" due to traffic idea is brought to you by the same geniuses who want zero covid deaths and won't stop the insanity until they get their wish or they get run out of town by people fed up with them.

There is no amendment to protect our driving privileges. Take this very seriously.

Several ways to achieve zero traffic accident deaths:

1. Tax per mile will reduce the number of miles driven
2. Additional public transportation
3. Stricter license testing requirements
4. Increased penalties for driving infractions

and so on...

But the first thing that came to mind was extensive smart car technology that removes driving functions from people.

Our goal?

Last I checked that was the goal of those designing the AI for self driving and even then those in that field (Ex. Elon Musk and Lex Friedman) have both stated that AI will eventually reduce the number of automobile accidents drastically but no mention of zero.

Typical politician using a shiny word and will do absolute nothing to reduce traffic accidents. Elon stated in interview with Sandy Munro what many people including Sandy think/thought are important (well painted roads etc.) has little to do with AI self driving and reducing accidents. Obviously road conditions are important for self or manual driving, but if they designed AI to go off things like this it would not be good at all.

As of other mass transit, well there will always be some accidents.

Just another liberal goal (ideal) with absolutely no chance of happening anytime in our lives (reality). Sounds good though Petey keep talking your BS to the ignorant.
