It's OK. We passed a $1trillion+ law to fix it.........again. That bridge must have not been "shovel ready" during the last go around.

Same bridge in 2018

https://twitter.com/gpk320/status/107888...3ns3g&s=09

More than 90% of the bridges in Pittsburgh are decaying. Thankfully this was a rather insignificant bridge. Ft. Pitt Bridge collapsing would be catastrophic for both the short term and long term.

I heard the bridge collapse caused a massive gas leak. Then I saw Biden talking about it and I got the reference...

Here is his grandstanding for the BBB bill now.

But the imbecile won't tell the American people that even with the amount of money that was allocated, it wouldn't had went to this bridge.

Not to sound insensitive to the OP or this subject in general but how many of those bridges are part of PA owned and maintained roads? Interstates are one thing but I've always believed that the state DOTs should handle this stuff. It shouldn't take federal dollars. I feel a similar way about toll roads who are at least partially publicly funded. They essentially pay for themselves and their maintenance over and over and over again.

I'll disagree ... that's exactly what a % of fed dollars should fund as req'd...

both state and fed $$$ are shamelessly mismanaged ....

if the dipshites pooled both, do you really believe in today's schema it would matter ...

without strict oversite + oversight, all this is bs at the end of the day....

Well, I guess it could be done that way, but then how would Washington control the purse strings, decide what every state must spend money on, and have money to "send back" to the States after keeping half of it for the pork barrels?

It seems very coincidental that a bridge just happens to fail in an area where he was already heading to visit to push his fake infrastructure bill.

What is the actual breakdown of the Infrastructure Bill? I can only imagine the waste attached. Cause that’s how it’s done boys.
