The whole timing of this announcement is curious. I wonder why it was done before the new president takes office. Maybe it was an attempt to give her a clean sheet, especially as regards long-term goals and plans for future upgrades and additions to UTA Athletics.

The last 15 years have seen a gradual upgrading of facilities and programs, perhaps indicating an intention to bring us to a point where football and women's soccer can be done. It seems like all the existing sports have had their upgrades, so what is next?

This was in the works with the interim president based on the desire of the Sun Belt to have all programs football members. If we would have waited, there was a chance we’d have either been independents or severely lacking revenues.

I appreciate all the content you provide. Keep up the good work. Just a word of advice. Maybe write down your questions and/or try to keep them as simple and concise as possible.

I wasn’t better at my first few press conferences but it gets easier over time and with experience. Best advice I ever received was just ask the question, leave out the filler (I just got ask) and keep the question to the point. A ten word question is more effective than a paragraph question.
