Why are those programs going bankrupt? Could it be we have more takers than givers?

Three of those are trust funds paid into by workers separate from income tax and just because the government sticks their hands into the cookie jar doesnt change that.

While I believe we should be making other countries pay a larger share in their own protection and in that we could cut the defense budget. Those 3 programs in bold are totally different when it comes to funding.

I also understand why those in charge of the defense department would rather not push the shared cost to other countries. They might be your friend today but at some point in history they could be against you. So in that regard the defense department doesnt want other defenses...built up.

To answer the question of the OP...

the same type of things we looked at as stupid 30 to 50 years ago are accepted today. That's the agenda of these crazy ideals today. That over time and enough people who think these ideals are crazy die off while the same amount of people grew up with hearing these ideals from birth become "middle america" most of them will be accepted.

I think we should cut in a lot of areas. Defense being one of them. How much is hard to decipher. There is waste in each sector.

The question remains, why do liberals never say “let’s cut everything!” It’s always geared toward defense, it’s never about the actual debt drivers. It doesn’t matter if our workers are paying into the system. Deficit spending eats away at savings and purchasing power. It’s also one giant Ponzi scheme.

Face facts our government is rotten to the core. My biggest fear growing up was the the common man would start becoming like our government. Newsflash, that time has arrived.
