+++Coastal at South - The Atlantic & Gulf Battle Official Thread+++
Chanticleers fans load up those planes, trains and automobiles and travel on down to the beautiful upper Gulf Coast area and have a fun weekend and visit our new Hancock Whitney Stadium located on the campus of the University of South Alabama. We are so looking forward to this game and hoping for the best game of the season. The Jaguars gave the powerful Ragin' Cajuns all they could handle when they visited and we are planning to do the same for the Chants.

I like that, this game needs a name. Battle of the Beach, Storming the Beach, something more clever then those, but definitely needs a name.

Redneck Riviera Rivalry, that sounds better.

Yeah, I was thinking about using that, but thought it might offend some. Glad you did though.04-cheers

I expect South Alabama to come out prepared for a battle. Not sure our team will. Here’s to a good game!

We don’t have much to play for other than pride.

We don’t play well in games like that.

If the Jags win, it won't be because our offense didnt show up. Our defense seems to have given up on the season weeks ago.

Yall were found out by App. Get a receiver lined up on a linebacker, get get safety flat footed, hit it.

Game Day in Mobile. Coastal Carolina vs. South Alabama. Beautiful football weather with temperatures in the upper 50s at kickoff. Hopefully we'll have an injury free game with little to no scuffling between the players and good sportsmanship will prevail between both teams. Smaller than usual crowd expected, but that remains to be seen. Good luck to both teams, but Go Jags.

We’ve struggled to hit receivers with Bentley not in the game. On short and intermediate passes the ball will find the ground and come nowhere near where the receiver can catch it. The question everyone has is whether Bentley will play today or not. He has practiced, but we don’t know if that means he will play. It is his last college game ever so I think we could see him today, even if it’s just for a series. If he does play, the next question is how mobile will he be? He might not be able to escape pressure, so our OL is going to have to hold up.

Coastal is going to struggle with Tolbert. Get him lined up in the slot, see if you get a favorable coverage, send him deep.

Before y’all see it on ESPN+, the student side (camera side) is pretty empty. The home side is alright. But what you see on TV will not be pretty. Lol.

Looks about like what we see at Thanksgiving weekend home games in Hattiesburg.

South Alabama is such a different team with Bentley playing. Jags up early, 7-0.

Coastal returned the kick for a TD, but they needlessly threw a South player to the ground 5 yards out of bounds 25 yards behind the play. Penalty negates the TD.

Even the South Alabama announcing crew thinks the block in the back was a horrible call

Wasn't a block in the back, it was a block out of bounds. South player got thrown to the ground 4 yards out of bounds

That's a penalty
