But I think your last link doesn’t show the route thru st Mary/st landry. I’d fix it my self but don’t know how lol

Are you opening on mobile? It's giving me the same issue on my phone. Link is working fine on my desktop when opening from multiple browsers. I may have to update the link with something more mobile friendly.

Yep. I’m on a Mobile so that my be the issue.

Ok I updated the link on Post #55 and tried it on my phone. Should work better, but I'll let you Beta test for me.

I live in Opelousas (north of town) and park in the free lot across from Cajun field. My route to this lot is very simple and avoids a lot of traffic. South on University from I-10, right on Congress to Cajundome Blvd, right on CajunDome Blvd, then left off Cajun dome to Devalcourt to parking area on the left.

Let's get two ranked, App wins by one (hopefully beating GS soundly this weekend), and then Cajuns dominate in their bowl game.

Yep. That did it. Works perfect now. And in fact, seeing it on the map you can see it’s actually a great route: not far from what would show on their gps route anyway but will avoid all the traffic issues while also giving them a good view of the campuses.

BTW: I live in the st streets area and REALLY love it there but it is a pain for games at CF: we have to go to souvenir gate, then left on coliseum rd, turn right onto Johnston then right onto N college/bertrand. All that when it would take us all but 2 mins to stay on souvenir gate, and then cross Cajundome blvd lol.

It really could go either way. You're dealing with 18-21 year olds. Maybe they can compartmentalize, maybe not. Obviously would be a much bigger chance to lose focus than if we were not in the midst of all the rumors, etc.

I guess it comes down to what degree the rumors effect the team, I don’t think it will be such a distraction that UL plays horrible and APP gets an easy win, just too solid of a program to fall apart immediately, plus they have been dealing with him possibly leaving the last 2 yrs and it doesn’t seem to have affected their play.

Nah. Let’s stick with plan A, i.e., Cajuns make it 3 in a row come 12/4. Besides, that would make my prediction from July come into 100% true.

M, N, and O. On the north east side of the stadium. LOL no shade and facing the sun. But don’t fret too much, good seats are pretty rare for even us.

The gate closest to that is D. But getting there from any gate is not a problem. There is a concourse around the whole stadium.

FYI: gate A is where the music jam pre-game will be.

Student tailgating is behind the east side, rv’s between D & C. The main tailgating is on the west side

I used to live in the Saint Streets, sorta, the other side of Congress near Myrtle Place. Still rent the old place to UL students though. Issues like you describe suck, but there are few better places to live within Lafayette. Part of me still misses living there.

Solid seats. Higher is definitely better. You still won't be far from the action but will actually be able to see. Also easier access to beer and restrooms.

Daughter's family lives on Oaklawn, near Brookside. When I bring the Grandkids to the game, I park at their house and walk to the game. It makes it an adventure for them. They love it.

But they ought to bring sunglasses. At 3pm, if it's not cloudy the sun's going to give them a good beatdown until about halftime.

Yep. And from that height they’ll get a good view of the poor folks trying to make it back to the top, lol. It’s a hike, even for the young and healthy! Oh, and keep an eye on the NEZ, the Hill, aka the levee. Kids love rolling downhill, throwing balls and in general just having the time of their little lives.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, getting to CF is a pain, but I wouldn’t live anywhere in town. Also, the only time this is an issue for UL sports is for football. For baseball we can drive down souvenir gate, cross CD Blvd and park where the softball folks park….it’s an easy walk to the Tigue, plus leaving is really easy as all the traffic is on the west side. Going to basketball games is even easier, as we don’t even have cross CD Blvd.

For baseball, softball, and basketball I’d frequently ride my bike to games. I actually still do at my new place because I’m still close to the athletic complex; 10 minute ride max. Since the weather at that time was typically cool enough for it, and I could roll up to the front door of the venue and not have to worry about parking. Something to consider if you don’t have a bunch of really young kids in tow.
