RE: ***GAME THREAD - Louisiana @ Liberty 11/20 ***
A good test for UL and where the Belt is. Liberty has been up and down, hopefully, UL catches them slipping like ULM. Hanging with Ole Miss is pretty impressive.
RE: ***GAME THREAD - Louisiana @ Liberty 11/20 ***
Liberty played Ole Miss well and coming off a bye. They will be ready.
Willis is clearly the key. Almost twice as many rushing yards as their top RB, but has had 12 turnovers this season. Also sacked 38 times (designed runs included). Seems the key will be Cajuns dline vs. Willis. Good luck!
Current line in Liberty -4.5, WTF (wrong team favored).

Did you watch the Ole Miss game? I did. It wasn't that close. Ole Miss got up and put it on cruise since Corral has been injured pretty much all year.

SEC teams do not put it on cruise control nor has Lane Kiffin ever lol. No way in heck after Liberty put up 14-3 in the third Ole Miss was still just cruising... They were still passing up until the last drive...

I would not say that. The yardage was near even in the game. Liberty got into Ole Miss territory a ton of times but could not capitalize, from missed field goals, missed 4th downs, and interceptions. Game could have been a lot closer.

This year, you all look like an SEC team and while play might not be up to that level, the physicality when the motivation is there is.
They disregard the fact that Louisiana has multiple NFL talents on the offensive line, running back, and maybe one or two at receiver. They discount that fact that you have at least one draft pick at defensive tackle, and probably two at linebacker. They disregard your size, speed, and coaching.
That was something App fans didn't discount, we just thought App would win because Billy is playing old school small ball that doesn't lead to wide scoring margins but total obliteration by the 4th quarter tends to happen nonetheless.
Show then what an 11 minute 4th quarter drive to close out a game looks like. It makes a 3 point loss feel the same as a 21 point loss, as a fan, and probably worse as a player.
Eric...it was nice to see the support you showed on the CUSA board.

Appreciate the compliments on our players. Over the last week we’ve had 5 guys accept invites to NFL scouting bowls (Senior, Shrine, etc). Two of the guys are true seniors that have played all 4 years but have an extra year remaining due to Covid that it appears they will be foregoing, Max Mitchell and Percy Butler. The other 3 with invites are some of the guys you made reference to: Tayland Humphrey aka Big Sauce on the dline, and Manac and Gardner both LBs. There is a ton of talent on the oline with Max being a potential day 2 selection this year; expect to see us churning out oline guys to the pros on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, turnovers are a part of the game...as are missed field goals...

I'll be glad to see them leave.
Louisiana made a concerted effort to take Demarco Jackson out of the App game and it worked well enough. Worst game I'd seen him play since he was forced into action his freshman year against Georgia Southern, about the size of a wide receiver.
Player devekoent largely depends on coaching so we will see if Napier makes it out of Lynchburg without a job offer from Virginia Tech.

I think we'll be fine.
That’s pretty funny. ULL has one played one team with a winning record (App) I’ve watched 3 ULL games this year and if you guys think you’re going to blow this Liberty away you’re going to be very disappointed. Freeze does a great job in games like this. We’re coming off a bye week so he’ll have them ready to play. Should be a great game.

Should be a great game. One guy gave a prediction on how he feels but most are in concensus that it'll be a hard fought game. Vegas has y'all as about a 4 point favorite so I don't know why you are seemingly taken an offense to some homer views on a Sunbelt conference message board. Not like we gonna be cheering for the flames here but congrats on the new conference. Y'all should fit in nicely with the Rustonites
